Not really going to hang any thing on it to be fair, at most will be a One man bivvy and a sleeping bag but mainly just going to be for looks. Chrome in a can was just a thought really as I'd seen it in a shop didn't know if it was any good or not and as normal you great lot have shown me the light as to how hard it will be to get it to look good. Thinking the alloy way ain't for me tho mate, I see the hp the weight etc but I really do prefer the steel. Will just hunt down some one to chrome it or just black it out to match the frame.

Is that Alooooooominum or Al u min ium? Ha ha Yer could do that just that it's quite a soft (but strong) metal where as steel is hard cold and manly. I. Can also get 2m off twisted steel for £10. But we will see what happens

  9. Id personally wait for the bigger bike mate and spend the cash on that, Do the sprokets by all means and gain the acceleration or top end (which ever you want) but the rest..............

Drive chain? Do you mean using it for a sissy bar or to actually drive the bike? If it's the latter I can't do that as she is a shaft drive, I have pondered over loads of ideas for the sissy bar, chain of 50 cal rounds, twisted steel, big ass chain etc. The chrome is for the sissy bar so if I gave it a heavy dose of clear coat should hold up?

    My Bobber project

Not by a long shot Lassy, March is the goal. Found a old white board in the skip at work today which is going up in the man cave tonight for my "to Do" list. Been told by the wife i can buy one thing a month for the bike (but i may sneek in a few extras now and then) Any one know where i can get chrome done? or has any one used the chrome spray paint??
  12. Its just a bolt hole mate, dosen't do nothing on the 125. just stick a bolt in it and forget about it

Woo hoo!!! spoke are all back in, she's trued up now just a matter of doing the spokes up tight. Then its onto sorting out the brake cylinder and caliper as thats long over due. Ordered my dinky handle bar switches on Friday and the man has been making them up all week end so im hoping to get them Wednesday, then its onto sealing the fuel tank, new speedo, new rear mudgaurd, twisted steel sissy bar, (got fucked off with the chain) Indicators and exhaust wrap. Then its onto paint and assemble Tax and MOT job done (I hope)
  14. Yep know that one too, it a pain in the ass really. but im looking forward to getting my little girl out on the bike once she's old enough then we can leave the wife at home with the washing up

    Binned it.

Hi Doodle, Glad to here your still in one bit. Please do me a favour and bin your handle bars too. If they are bent then getting them back to normal will be risky, think of when you get a paper clip and you bend it, then bend it back to normal, it tends to snap. Can you trust your bars to hold up in an emergancy stop with all your upper body weight transfering through them? As for the course of the miss hap, i can see yours and your partners theory just so we can narrow it down, know when you bump start a bike you normally have to run like fook to get it to bump, how fast was to coming up to the lights? also did you feel the back wheel lock up for a split second before it shot off? Keep your chin up and get back on her (once you have replaced them bars tho!)
  16. Ah so you have the ball and chain fitted too then? Just go out on the bike, ring her up and say you have broken down so you won't be Home till the following evening.
  17. What just to see how bent it is ha ha. Once she is one the road I'm wanting to get out on sine ride outs so if I can ditch the wife for a weekend I'm strapping a tent to the back and getting away if any one is up for it?
  18. X-Fish I must thank you. Went to look at how many pockets I had on my jacket (5 if you must know) and I found £15 in the inside pocket. Cheers mate!
  19. Cheers dt, but the old saying goes ' too little too late' ha ha. I've only just finished tonight making it true using the hinge made wheel holder-upper-thingy-bob. Been resurching the web and you tube on all to do with this and with pics and info from you guys I've sort of done it. Proof will be in the test ride next year.
  20. Not a problem for me as my leather jacket has pockets on the out side and two inside. Plus my flak jacket from the Mob stays at Home with all the rest of my gear as it means too much to me for it to get nicked or wrecked.
  21. Drewp, I think your wife needs to limit your usage on the computer. Either that or you need help ha ha
  22. Yer it's all sorted now, many thanks to you all. It really want that hard once I'd found out the pattern. I'm half way through making it true, but I will be giving it to a pro so that they can do them up to the proper torque. Thing is, I live to try things my self, the way I see it, if it's been done then it's not impossible. Saves you singe dosh too ha ha
  23. Happy birthday dude, I've sent up a "how to run a motorbike for dummies" book. Should have it by Monday lol. Only joking. Have a nice one
