Do we think Drag Stars will ever become 'collectible'?
Ahh too shay sir. Im a Harley fan but not to the extreme that i would buy all the Harley branded crap that mr sales man wants to add to your receipt. And i only wear chaps on week ends down with my mates at the Blue oyster.

My Bobber project
Yer it is amazing what a small box can do, but i think that the world is getting far to smart for its own good ha ha. (Terminator springs to mind ) Yer i had even bigger plans for her at one point, i was going to get a one off frame built for it bit like the Detroit Brothers style frame but the bloke i was talking too soon stiched me up and he lost out on 1200 notes. im nearly there now with the build, just need front tyre, indicators, number plate bracket and then just a case of re-painting the tank and mud gaurds and tax and MOT her. Just the money pond has run dry and the bills are more important than buying bike parts so the wife says.

xvs 125cc to 250cc
I'm not 100% sure but I think the only difference is the top end? Like the barrels etc? But surely the price of getting hold of the 250 Is close to that of just buying the actual 250 bike???

New item arrived from Beijing today 5 leds for indicators, high beam, engine warning light and neutral light. Plugged it in to take some pics and it's that bright my camera couldn't take a good picture as its crap ha ha. So in total the handle bars have set me back £250!

650 Dragstar project
There is a way of lowering the suspension but it involves dilling the gusset between the back bone and down tube where the wiring loom sits on. Like so (Click on the julio Slam link on the suspention Catigory): http://www.650ccnd.com/ht.htm If i was going to do this mod i would drill the hole a bit bigger then weld a steel pipe in to keep the bolt elongating the gusset or worse snap the bolt when / if you hit a pot hole.

Heel Toe Shifter Retro-Fit to 2000 XVS650A
Where abouts does the heel part hit? can you not mill out a section of the heel toe arm thats hitting? Chuck up some pics of the problem mate and will be able to have a better look and come up with some thing. Can you not space it out with some washers or some thing like that?

Do we think Drag Stars will ever become 'collectible'?
I highly doubt they will be collector's items. They are after all like the Guys said above. Plus I think the only ones that will fetch the most money in years to come are the standards ones and the ones not fucked about with by blokes like me ha ha

Has my exhaust been modded?
Got to agree with the trout, that the best modified stock pipes ive seen or they have got to be a standard aftermarket yamaha part which ive never ever seen nor even thought existed. They a very nice or very nicely done.

My Bobber project
That is a Harley Davidson sporty tank mate, bit of a pain in the ass to fit and there are better ways to fit it than I have but if you buy a brand new one like I did you also need to buy a Fuel cap, Fuel tap and kreem to seal it, grand total just for the Tank is about £180 ish. Then you got paint to add on ha ha.

My Bobber project
Only place it fitted mate, also if someone spots me looking at my gentlemans sausage i can just say i was just checking to see how fast i was going Also it wouldn't go on my handle bars as im just waiting on my custom made warning light indicator to turn up from Bejing which is going on the bars between the risers so thats was really the only visible place i could put it. I think it looks rather smart there tho but thats most likely because i have a twisted way of seeing things

XVS 650 Footpegs
I have bought some bits from this guy before and they are very good, i was looking at getting a set from here at one point but couln't justify forking out near on £100 for some pegs. http://www.metriccruisers.co.uk/acatalog/footpegs_xvs650.html

Has my exhaust been modded?
Definatly an aftermarket pipe mate, it has a baffle init which is the plate with the holes drilled in. thing is ive not seen a set of aftermarket pipes that look similar to the stock pipes Any signs of them being cut in half or any thing?
-
XVS 650 Footpegs
I had exactly the same problem mate, ended up fabricating up my own set out of a set of Ally racing pegs my mate had laying about in his shed. Bit of box steel, a bolt and some welding and jobs a gooden, only thing is tho they don't bend up if your keen around corners

XV 125 Virago - Air - fuel mixture screw tuning
If you turn the pilot jets all the way off and run the bike like that then the bike will not idle as the pilot jets are what controls the fuel air mixture for the idle. If you open them all the way out she will idle fast and eratic and then your be having to piss about with the idle / tick over screw and will have to wind that all the way in to get it to tick over properly. Like i say, turn the screws in all the way closed, then turn them back on two and a half turns and see if that works. my bike is running 122.5 main jets and ive had to advance my pilot jets to 4.5 turns open for her to pull away with out cutting out, but i may have to re jet her again once she's back onthe road.

XV 125 Virago - Air - fuel mixture screw tuning
Kelum. If i. Remember correctly. The pilot screws should go like this. Turn all the way off then turn two and a half on. See how that goes mate and report back.
