  1. Hope you all ahd a good one. It was just another normal day for me, but i still had my typical English breakfast nom nom nom
  2. Not sure Where to get the parts from as i normally refer people to wemoto I must say thankyou to you and all the guys at Wemoto as its a shit hot web site!
  3. Surely warrents a build thread tho?? You just going to restore it or you going to add / remove bits?
  4. Come on Tasky where is the project thread on this one then!? if your doign a nut and bolt strip and rebuild i wanna watch it. O and one little tip (if you didn't already know) dont forget to put the thin wire rod for the back brake on BEFORE you put the swing arm in, as it wont go in with the swing arm in place. (i found that out............... twice! )
  5. +1 with NSD, As long as the bike has a good service history then the millage dont matter. (ok its a car ref but) my mate here at work has a Volvo T40 that is serviced every year with out fail and has 314k on the clock and is still going like a dream. The only millage id be slightly concerned with would be aroung the 80-100k mark on a bike but again as long as there is history with it if i liked it id buy it.
  6. Had a nice ride into work this morning, nice and crisp with only a few villeges stuck in fog but was very nice to hit a warm thermal or two. I just really need to get a bit more confident in corners, nt after speed just don't want to be dreading seeing water mid corner and think that im coming off
  7. I had one of them and it also had a screen on it that you could play tetris on it, but that was before i found out about MP3 players.
  8. Holy mother of all shit!! If that where me id have my pants down and my cock in my hand as if i was going to die like that im going with a smile!!!
  9. Holy shit dude! Glad your ok bar the finger. Hope you get both your self and the bike fixed.
  10. Hi Rumpii, 1) Yes you can pull the float bowl off to check the main jets with out changing the gaskets, i've done it many a time and its normally a rubber O-ring. But if the gasket is damaged in any way when you take it off then you will need to replace it and make sure you done pinch it when you put it back together. Rule of thumb on how to up jet / down jet is that if the spark plugs are white then you are running too weak and risk over heating the pistons etc so will need to put bigger jets in, if the plugs are mega black and sooty then your too rich and risk detination and melting pistons so need to down jet. 2) there is no special paint for swing arms but hammerite is a cracking paint and normally comes with a 8 year garentee and is very hard stuff. 3) Tyre size should be on the tyres that you have on the bike (eg 190-90/19) 4) Try http://www.wemoto.com/bikes/yamaha/dt_125_re/05/
  11. Welcome Rumpii, Good little bikes them!

Betty has just passed her mot! She only had one advisory which was loud exhausts but noise by name noise by nature ha ha
  15. Draggin jeans will go over your boots but obviously they haven't got the same amount of protection as Leather but atleast in the summer you dont get sticky bollocks syndrome. Or as Kev said Doc martins (not the bloke) will fit over any trousers
  16. Life is just like toilet paper. Your either on a roll, or your taking shit from some ass hole.

Well no mot for me. Riding Home and the tapping sound turned out not too be a blowing exhaust but the valves. Betty cut out on me 10 miles from home, she would start but wouldn't idle but with a set of hex keys and a random blokes socket set out the back of his van I managed to move the cam the three teeth back that it was out. Sadly ran out of time and missed my mot slot. But still cuffed I did open heart surgery on the side of the road.
  18. Its gotta be some thing with the running gear. But as this is the intro section i'll leave my advice for the Work shop section. Welcome to the YOC
  19. There is a way of putting a center stand on the Draggy as there is a bracket already on the bike ready to fit on

Hey DT, yer i know im so far behind this year but hey ho thats the way it goes really ha ha. Rode her into work this morning and holy jesus fucker she is pokier than ever! my ass was sliding off the seat with every gear change once she was warm so my abs are getting a proper work out whilst i keep my self seated. Got a slight problem tho and it is my own fault, i forgot to tourque two bolts up on the exhaust so im getting that annoying tappy blow sound from the joint. Only thing is if i cant get a modified Hex key in the gap its an engine out job
  21. The draggy is better in every way. Period. You may find leg room tight but if I'm correct tasky is about 6ft and he was happy with the draggy. If not you can get extensions to push the pegs forward. As for custom vs classic, it is all just down to looks but with the extra weight of the add ons the classics have it will be slower off the line to a custom. After market parts are plentyful unless you want to put Harley parts on it then things get a bit tricky. Servicing is about as easy as cooking toaste.
