i completely agree i went to hein gericke for a new air filter before lincoln bikefest i got a response of oh this ones about right so i got home put it on and bike wouldnt rev past 2000 so needless to say i went to take it back and they told me they couldnt take it back as it had been used and im out and about tomorrow i might have to pass this on to HG Customer services

have to say ashby folville meet is a really popular place parking can be a problem and the streets are lined with bikes most of the night and police are in high volume there so beware alot of people were fined last time due to wheel spinning down the exit road and then were being done for bald tyres hopefully see you there

ok carbs done but no cigar... air filters are off loud knocking in front cylinder as soon as i accelerate it misfires then cuts out but will accelerate upto about 3000 rpm when the choke is slightly on any ideas? im at the end of my knowledge

as far as i can tell i think it would just mean new cylinder head and block everything else seems to be the same maybe a brake upgrade and thanks for the offer DT might take you up on that just sourcing parts and advice at the minute though

all 5 of them inlets have gone ive been told this is made of rubber/ plastic and is apparently not serviceable although it doesnt expand or shrink so i was thinking coat it in chemical metal do the jubilee clips up before it dries and see how it goes although apparently it will start mis firing before you have a huge problem

ive found some sealing tape and gel i will let you know how it goes would go from £98.00 to £20.00 bike shops always tell you you need a new part will let you know the name etc of it hopefully tonight

will take photo tomorrow but its the tube that the carb attaches to the carb sits ontop of it and there is 2 small what look like air lines and it links the 2 cylinders together

i think its air its the really thick tube between the 2 the carbs sit ontop of it

the pipe that connects to the bottom of the carb is cracked a yamaha dealer says the part is £99.00 plus £61.00 to fit it as far as i can tell this is a plastic tube with 2 attachments for what look like fuel pipes and 3 bigger attachments 1 for each of the 2 cylinders and a connection to the carb is there any way i can get a cheaper version of it by the way it looks like i have to take off the tank all the hoses the air intakes and possible the exhaust can anyone advise me?

i have acquired a intruder 125 and have found some problems... the solenoid is gone which i have ordered there is a loose connection in a wire from the ignition barrel also the bike will start when i bypass the solenoid but only with the choke on it wont run even when warmed up (tick over or accelerated) i see this problem as the carbs but i dont know how to regulate the mixture anyone have any advice? thanks in advance

ive been down today they finally got my air filter in (ordered a week before lincoln bikefest) it is a tubed tyre and they agreed to fit the tube and air filter for £30 thanks for the info guys

i have a nail in my rear tyre does anyone know roughly how much a puncture repair will be? its tubeless or is there a way to fix it myself?

mate of mine got pulled over and given 6 points for exactly that i think pc plod was is a really bad mood i did get away with it for like 6 months but i had to put one back on as there is normally a big police presence at bike festivals
