Hi fellas . Does anybody perhaps know where I can get my hands on a service manual for a 1983 XT250T , model 38M ? It seems to be a very scarce commodity. It's the first model that had the MONO SHOCK rear suspension I think , and it also had the air intakes on the front of the tank .

Hi fellas , I had a spring made for my XT600 Tenere 34L rear shock , but after just a little off roading the coil seems to have compressed and is now much softer . I guess it has compressed somewhat and now doesn't decompress back to what is was . With little off roading I mean a couple of kilos on the trail .I spoke to the guy that made it and he says that the EN48 spring steel they use is sometimes not of the greatest quality and this can happen .According to a spring rate calculator I found online the coil is now at 524 lbsf/in . Does anyone know what the spring rate was on the original Tenere shock ? I was thinking of reducing the active coils down 1 coil to 8 which according to the calculator will up the spring rate to 590lbsf/in . Anyone have any thoughts on this , since I weigh about 280 pounds , the bike has a 30 liter tank and I didn't carry any luggage when I took it on the trail .A full tank and a backpack should add about 80 pounds weight to it all and if it is way too soft now , it surely won't work loaded . It has about 35mm sag before I get onboard and once I do there is roughly 4 inches travel left to bottoming out . Many thanks in advance .

I have just bought a TT600K that I am going to restore , and I was wondering whether I am supposed to inflate the gas canister that's linked to the rear shock . It has a valve in the back . If so what pressure ? I know that the forks can be inflated to max 17psi , but according to the book the rear shock canister contains nitrogen at 284psi. Is this right , and if so what is the meaning of the valve ?

I have a TT600E 96/97 model engine which I built into a XT600 Tenere frame . The TT engine is a 4GV . I am having a hell of a time finding an ignition switch for this bike . The wiring diagram has a blue , red , brown and blue/red wire coming from it .I bought just the engine and electrics off a guy 6 years ago so I have no idea what the bike model was except that is a TT600 Belgarda .Does anyone have an idea what the part number is for this bike's ignition or another that would be compatible .The bike is electric start by the way .And a link to a parts fiche would be super too .
