    Also just noticed if the ignition is turned on and bike not running then after 5-10 seconds the rev counter will shoot up to 7.5 then back to zero, is this a engine management display telling me what the problem is, if so does anyone know what the 7.5 is in the teknical department ?

    Bought my r1 last week, its been stood for about a year, we've cleaned the carbs out ,checked and cleaned the jets, cleaned the airbox, coils all workin, anyone had similar probs or have any suggestion wot it can be ? cheers bradders
