That brings back bad memories, that’s exactly what happened to me about 4 years ago, and all the driver said was sorry didn’t see you, if I wasn’t on the stretcher at that point I would have kicked his head in.

In the winter alway worm it up, on my R1 in starts with LO and then it goes in to numbers, starts at about 42C, so i wait for it and at that point I start putting my helmet and glowes on, don't go too crazy with the revs for the first 5 mins, let the engine wake up Hope that helps.

Only 1st to 2nd sometimes, the rest of the gears are smooth, i've put in a new clutch few months back as the old one started to slip, it made a lot of difference.

Not at the max line but just under, had the same problem when i got the bike almost 4 years ago, have to keep in just under the line to keep the oil light off.

As far as I know it's not a good idea, never did it my self.

You have to get one, i really don't get why they didn't come with it as standard, i have a 2000 R1 and the front would go crazy as soon as I've opened it up, got a Sprint damper and it doesn't happen any more, makes the bike nice and stable under hard acceleration and in bends. Go get one, you will not be sorry.

Hi, I've been using them on my R1 for about 2 year now, I ride just about every day of the year including the winter months, they have been good, good grip and feedback in all conditions.

Nice looking bike and good vid, make sure you take it easy with it, it's a guick bike for a first bike. Good luck.

I think you should go with blue, i got some for my R1 but haven't put them on yet.

Hi, I was checking over my bike and wanted to have a look at my Air filter, once I took off the top of the Air Box there was a lot of Oil in it, bike is pretty much stock, K&N air, oil filters and a Blue Flame can with 23000 miles on the clock, bike was never dropped or crashed, it runs just fine, starts first time every time. Did anyone have this problem before and know what it can be. Thank you Damian

Hi, you should be good with just an oil and filter change, take it easy on it, it's a quick bike.

I change the oil and filter every 3000 miles.

Hi all, got the same e-mail, I’ve been popping back now and then but never posted, sounds and looks like a great bunch of people on here, I've been riding on and off for the last 12 years, starting from a little 50cc and working my way up to my beloved 2000 R1 which I've had for the last 3 years, WHAT A BIKE!!!!.
