what sort of mileage to look for
Hey there, sorry the ad has been temporarily taken off because I changed the text a little and now the automatic filters do not accept "oxford hardcore xl" anymore! haha It will be up again soon. I have knocked the price down a little. You're welcome to see the bike for yourself if you're in London. I love my little bike. I have had millions of compliments and it does turn heads. Often mistaken for a powerful bike. It rides very well, especially with that air filter. But you know, once I have tasted 500cc during my DAS, 125 seems like a toy!

HELP! All dials went off while riding
I was riding and then I glanced at the dials and there were no lights or numbers! I think it is because of a bumpy ride... I have disconnected and reconnected the wiring around the battery but it did not fix the problem. All of the indicator lights and brake lights work and the bike works too.....but the dials are dead. Please help, could this be serious? And what should I do? Thanks

I am selling my yamaha r125 2008 in yellow, if you're interested. About 6400 miles but I am still riding it, so will be more. There is an image on my profile. I posted an ad on gumtree but it is still processing...

Insuring a YZF R125
I got my TPFT from MCE...That was about £550 but I had no experience and I'm a woman which seems to increase the premium (??!). The quote was the cheapest of them all. Good luck!

R125 insurance - £1700....?
R125 08 plate..first bike, no experience, passed CBT 2 months before buying the bike, 20 years old at the time of purchase, female....£550 TPFT from MCE Quite satisfied. Dirty DT - the thread may be old but new info could be useful to some...I was on this forum myself when looking up bike insurance quotes

R125 - high revs, loud noise, little power
Yes and yes, I have checked and there doesn't seem to be any. Is there any way I could check that visually or whilst riding? My bike seems to make less noise on higher gears. The issue is mainly with moving off from stationary position. I'm worried I might kill the bike by accelerating harder at traffic lights.

R125 - high revs, loud noise, little power
I do not know what happened but I noticed (or I am imagining) in the last few days of riding my YZF-R125 that it is as though it has lost some power. It's hard to explain but I can just feel it. The bike has started to make more noise than power. The revs go high but the acceleration is less than what it used to be. Nothing too dramatic of course but I can definitely feel it...and its bugging me! So my question is, should I change the air filter or could there be another underlying problem? Thanks

More horror stories than Halloween night
This happens very often to me! Why do drivers think they're quicker than a bike? Once a car pulled out like 2-3metres in front of me from stationary (traffic) position. Closest call I've had to date...Just about held my bike out on the road. One other time it would have been my fault as 2 cars in front of me slowed down, first one was turning left, so I decided to go on the outside and the second car decided to do the same! I was inches from the car but managed to swerve into the oncoming lane....But I'm learning from my mistakes

Gotta stay confident and always alert though. Must not let these thoughts cloud your thinking ...I pretend that all drivers are idiots and I always expect the worst case scenario...therefore I'm usually prepared to react.
