SR250 Carb question
Hi all, I introduced myself a while back and was trying to get a SR250 running again. Well, said bike is back together and running. My problem is, the damned thing will not start without some serious coaxing (hooking it up to an extra battery, pouring fuel straight into the head ect) I think the choke is not working,(If you pull it out once the bike is warm it doesn't make any difference, surely the bike should stall?) but when I removed it, it seems a simple thing that you just have to ensure that its not blocked. Am I missing something? If anybody knows how it works I would appreciate it. Failing that, the ignition timing may be out but there seems to be no adjustment in the plate where the coils are mounted, is it wise/possible to slot the holes in it? Please forgive the long winded post Thanks.

DT50: Don't call it a moped
Great bike you have there. Back in the '80's you could ride a 50cc when you were 16, that was one of THE bikes to have!

Hi from SA
Tell me about it! The motor I've decided to fix is actually from a donor bike I bought. I've owned mine for about 5 years and can attest to the fact that they are indestructible. Here in South Africa they are the standard issue delivery/courier bike.
