well my friends brother brought a house and the previous occupier left a barn full of old bikes and tools so when he said he only wanted a 100 pounds for it i brought it straight away, No none at all although my friends brother has contacted the bloke who left it and he said he would post any documents he had for the bike to him, Depending on how hard it is to find bits I would like to fully rebuild it over a period of time. The swing arm is the bit catching my out as well could it be a race bike apparently the bloke who left the bike is a previous world champion ?,yeah I have the engine in bits in a box with the rest of the bike should be fun finding which bit goes were.

I really couldn't tell you at the moment I will get all the details I can when I pick the bike up one night in the week. I'm not sure what comstar wheels are but they appear to be able to come apart into 2 pieces like split rims lots of bolts holding the 2 sides together. The rev counter its not electronic uses a some kind of cable almost like a speedometer cable, the shock is red and almost car coil over size also the bars are tucked right in almost near the tank the brake lever had ap or something like that written on them.

Hi all just joined because i need a little bit of help identifying a old Yamaha I have just brought. I know very little about it other than it has disc brakes front and back the rear shock sits under the tank it appears to be a twin cylinder because of 2 coils mounted to the frame, also the rear swing arm is aluminium and the front of the frame is not. Here are a few pictures Any help would be great thanks Tom.
