Hi Throttled, have you had any problems putting a higher wattage bulb in the YBR? I've read on this and other threads that higher power bulbs can burn the wiring loom out. What bulb are you using? I'm going with BlakeyYBR's recommendation, found in this thread: YBR halogen headlights. If that doesn't improve things I'll have another think about higher power bulbs. Andy

Thanks Blake, Just what I wanted to hear! Would be great if you can let me know what you're using - It seems to be a bit hit or miss, so would be good to use something that's been tried and tested. Andy

Hi all, just joined up so thought I'd introduce myself. I've been driving cars for years, but have always wanted to ride a bike - Just never got round to it. However an opportunity recently presented itself and I'm now the proud owner of a 2009 YBR125! Did my CBT in Feb and I'm now riding it on L plates for the moment, but will eventually get round to doing my Direct Access test (Live in the UK, near Chester). So that's me. Blakey, how you getting on with your new headlight? I've been looking to upgrade my YBR headlight and have been reading all threads on the subject here, but like you said there are mixed reports. Any problems with battery condition/wiring burning out with the more power-hungry bulb? Cheers mate, -Andy-
