Hi I also own one of these with the same setup up and you do need to change the jets to stage 3, dynojet do a kit but its not cheap, poor cold starting might just be down to a weak battery, i found that with mine pod filter setup shouldnt cause poor starting usually starts ok but lumpy or idles way too high, Investigate battery start it from cold off a jump pack and see if it makes any difference

Just a quick question, is the pre div xj900f the same front end wise as the xj600? as in will forks etc, fit? could the panels and tailpiece be changed over from a 900 to a 600?
