XJR vs. Suzuki GSX 1400...
I've a GSX1400 and love it..I've always been a Yamaha fan but the big Suzi is really special. It handles remarkably well and the engine has so much torque. It really oozes character and I love the looks. I'd a couple of hours blasting round the mountains here in Scotland today and it was great. I'm lucky eneogh to own an R1 as well which is great but not such an all rounder. There's an excellent owners site:www.gsx1400.org/ The guys there are very helpfull. Most importantly you must change the stock suspension settings, this will tranform the handling. I believe the GSX is still in production it's just not going to be imported into the UK poss due to competing with the new Bandit.

Road pricing
Hi guys just incase you've not seen it. MCN are collecting names to petition against road pricing for bikes. There's only a few days left. If you've not already done so and you don't want to pay "congestion" charges for your bike. http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/MCNroadpricing/ Cheers Tango2

bored
I get on with the wee jobs to try and keep my bikes near perfect or even improve them. This week's project is to fit heated grips to the Suzuki. Generally I try and keep them in great shape and just ready to go if some decent weather comes along. I've ridden enogh in crap conditions and now I just don't enjoy it anymore. For me tinkering with the bikes in a garage is perfect when the rain's teeming down and when the sun's shinning it's great to go for a blast up the side of Loch Lomond or where ever.

D Day hath cometh!!!
Well done but like everyone says do take it easy, I fell off more often in the 1st year than I did in the next 30 and I was lucky. Bikes are great but you have to treat them with respect. Do that and you can have a ball!

Yorkill Easter egg run
Anybody else going on the Yorkhill Easter Egg run. It's on the 8th of April in Glasgow and last year there were thousands of bikes involved (8k according to some estimates!) I reckon it'll be a great laugh and a good cause: http://glasgoweggrun.mag-uk.org/Main.php

new here but old biker
Hi ]Stevie9183! I'm just up the road from you. I'm 10 mins from Loch Lomond and after a 12 yr break it's brilliant to be back on a bike. It's a great part of the world for bikes just a tad chilly occasioanally as I'm sure you know!
