Hello.... 54mm or 48mm for a BS34 Mikuni carb?????

I have an 1980 xs400sg and what to change the stock air filter to pod style. there are many different sizes out there. The carb is a BS34 Mikuni. Thanks for all the help....

I just bought a 1980 Yamaha XS400SG and wanted to know what the difference between the models(G,SG). I'm new to the "Vintage" motorcycle world, I own a 2001 yz250f dirt bike, but want to turn this 1980 into a Cafe bike. Thanks for your help.
