i asked my dad about this pete, he doesnt think they should take any longer than a inl4 to run in, though maybe the single was built to higher tolerances? :? he reckons it's prob just the town riding that has made it feel slightly tight and you taking it good runs and reving it right will make it loosen up a bit. you know how choked up bikes can get if all they do is town riding, my xj was the same.

yeah it's nothing personal mozzy, we are just bikers and this is a bike forum mate 8) :wink: now i'm not doubting your mate beat this cbr in his pulsar, he prob did, BUT if the cbr was being piloted by someone who REALLY wanted to beat the car it could be done. he may well have been on the back wheel but that's not launching it as quick as poss, that's pissing about, having a laugh and playing with some guy in his tin box. cars always think bikes are racing them :roll: some twat yesterday was almost killing himself to keep with me, i was only out for a casual ride on my bike, sitting at a smooth 70/80 on quiet roads and there he was in his car, screeching round cutting corners like buggery. in the end i pulled in and let him get on with it :roll: bloody dangerous git!!! he slowed down once i let him past, was obviously just trying to keep with a bike :roll:

very true pete. they come down here into the country from bigger towns etc.. and they just dont know how to ride fast on these roads, farmers in tractors, cow shit, gravel, old half blind sunday drivers, pot holes,wildlife. the list goes on. so mozzy you are right, you have to look out for bikes every bit as much as cars. your comment on that it used to be a brotherhood and now it's a fashion parade is very apt pete!

what mags do you buy? not scud, bongo, or raz mags i mean bike ones (so no 50 plus and readers wives pete ) i buy motorcycle mechanics, BIKE and sometimes mcn. mechanics is prob my fav outta them 8)

watching and hearing these old guys on telly this afternoon was very moving. it was amazing what they did, they deserve the highest respect and they are all true heros. it's a tragedy that so many died for the cause. r.i.p to them poor lads. war sucks!
