dumfries is about 80 miles from here pete. just born there cos they they have a better maternity place axl i agree with you, alot of english(no offence to anyone) are selling up their houses, coming here and buying something way better for half the price and bumping up prices for the locals, bit of a bummer really :roll:

i agree completely with you alan. these bikes are awsome, but it's all going a bit far now. big power, great machines of just a few years back are now being slated by these journo idiots in performance berks and suchlike as being tired old dogs etc.. get bloody real!!! how much power is needed for the road, if we're being honest it's nowhere near what these guys think. speed comes too easy on these bikes, i love to ride my rd, 80mph and you bloody know you're doing it, it's such a shame there doesnt seem to be many basic, solid, do it all ujm's anymore. my xj is perfect for my needs and i think i shall move on to a fazer600 next as it still looks like a proper bike should and is as close to a modern do it all ujm i'll get.

just had the bike all over, 80 miles or so, and bloody hell it was fun 8) the route went like this, over to nearby village 'sandhead' along the back roads by the airbase giving it big licks , dunragit, glenluce, then down over to port william(it's like craggy island there :shock: all the old guys were out looking at the bike, petrol pumps in the wee garage that looked like they were from the 60's/70's) and along all the roads round that area. just sitting at a smooth 60/70 the whole way. cleared my head no end 8) some great flowing tight corners on that road, got the tyres worn right to the edges now :twisted: anyone else out tonight?

that sucks about yer son pete, it's so easy for young folk to get into, i should know i am a young un. two of my friends that i grew up with got into that, stealing from their parents, losing everyones trust etc.. one of them(he could ride a motocrosser like you wouldnt believe :shock: ) is in jail now i hadn't spoke to him in a couple years but he used to be a great guy. the other has sorted himself out now, i spoke to him a few weeks ago and it was great seeing my mate the way he used to be. i was a stupid kid when i hung around with these guys, i done some things to try and be cool, just glad i decided to get away from them and make some new pals.
