cheers folks. bought one today. it's only for the summer when i'm just pottering around. not too expensive as i just wanna see what they're like. the arai and roof are for all other duties 8) now all we need is some nice weather this summer.... :roll:

anyone tried or own a flip up helmet? if so what are they like? was thinking about one for summer riding. the only bad thing i've heard so far is they're rather noisy but that aint much of a problem. we are hard bikers after all 8)

are they any good? obviously mp3 players are the thing to get now but been offered a really good mini disk player from my sisters father in law!! he asked if i'd want it so she said yes dont know much about them though. do you store music on the mini disk things or do you buy them like normal cd's? sorry if i seem thick, not really into this type of thing you know

other folk might/will find gavins posts interesting and usefull though jmw. you can't just say don't reply. we need your input guys. there's the basis of a good forum here......

hi alan, good post. i'm too young to have been riding in the 70's, however i too used to always wear trainers, jeans, and leather jacket. i still wear jeans just for commuting to work etc. but on all other journeys it's leather trousers and textile jacket. it amazes me how some folk aren't bothered with protective gear, during the summer i spotted a guy on a gixxer thou wearing jeans and a vest, and his little boy on the back with shorts and t-shirt. even if it was a short journey, alot can happen!

good pic P4l01 yeah mitsuo is a member here, seems like a nice bloke too. either fred takes it VERY easy when the bike's clean or mitsuo rides the wheels off 250lcs :wink:
