Hi Noel, Welcome to the YOC.
-
Glad I could help mate, usually I'm so far off that I need a map to get back to the point in question.
-
Hi David, this should really be in the Workshop section mate, Never mind, if it's not fuel then it has to be electrical, try a replacement regulator, they get hot and break down then when they cool they work fine again, if you know where it is then run your bike till it stops then grab hold of it and see how hot it is, make sure you only touch it carefully as if it's what I think it is then you could burn yourself. They do run hot anyway so don't think just cos it's warm that's a fix, look in your manual and see what it says about testing your regulator with a multimeter. Check out this or something else, might help you see where your problem is. https://youtu.be/kDx3zgOLShY

-
Hi Buz, welcome to the YOC.
-
I remember that one from a post some time ago, this I believe is your rush to work? I have so got to do a "BIPPO", visit Scotland that is!!!
-
FJR has injectors Jimmy, I'm fucked !!!
-
Oh your just rubbing it in now aren't you? It's not bad here but that looks like biker heaven! As I pass through the pearly gates with my jacket and helmet on fire someone will be stood there saying "this Bonnerville is yours" and that road needs riding on.
-
You know it makes sense,
-
Well done NSD, knew someone would know.

Oh well what's the worst that could happen????? https://youtu.be/5LEGhltmPLU

That's it Drewpy, knew I had seen it somewhere before, well spotted that man.

Ha Ha Ha !! Thought so, never seen a washable OIL filter. Please buy a new horn, it really is best, I know keeping the original "LOOK" is important to you but some things are more important.
-
If you charge a bike battery with a car charger then it's fucked, bike batteries are soooo different, you can buy a cheap bike charger from ebay for about £2 see here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-ATV-12V-1-25A-Smart-Compact-Battery-Charging-Charger-Black-/281697699655?hash=item41967dc747 They really don't need to be charged quickly as that's what buggers them, car battery chargers also put out more amperage then bike chargers. NEVER EVER charge your bike battery with a car charger.
-
Look under frame and fittings, nearly always an after though, some things are mentioned in passing like they don't matter.
-
Best advice, cut the cables, fit new connectors then buy new horn, this is the only thing between the dick head that turns right across your path and a hospital bed. Are you saying that you have WASHED your oil filter? Or have I misunderstood you?
-
Only thing I have ever seen that sounds like what your talking about is "induction heating" with an electric coil arrangement, can be made with 2 - 4 - 6 or more loops, you have to also have a mad amount of power to make the buggers work, plus you get strange effects like this !!! https://youtu.be/VydPQuLyEns
-
Yah think! Looks like the 2 Suzis I jut bought, nothing is beyond repair it's just can you be bothered. The thing is these little bikes turn into really smart little bikes when they are fully fettled.
-
Hi Alan, Have you changed the plugs? tested the HT leads? or the coils? If it stinks of petrol then it can only be a plug not firing, the answer is easy and so is the solution.

Virago 250 headlight flasher not working. Exhaust replacement in UK?
slice replied to cliverlong's topic in Yamaha Customs
Lucky mate, usually a new unit that you don't need don't want and can't afford. -
Might be a breather hose connection, just guessing mind as I really have no idea, but when the engine breaths through the crank case it also spits out vapour that condenses, usually the bottom or side of the air box, might be that or something completely different, someone on here must know, have you got the manual? Sorry I can't be of more help !

Ok I'll bite "Fairy dust"?
