  3. I've got a swimming pool, well when it rains anyway plus it's only 12 degrees outside so I also need a drysuit to us it.

That will be a NO then, Oh well can't say we didn't try !! Hope the info was helpful anyway, would have been nice if you had even said "thank you" tho. Ho Hum.

That's a handy thing to know Airhead, is there somewhere that these sort of things can be stored or collected, it seems a shame that we have to go searching around for info when we could have a spot to just look up people or suppliers that can help out with parts and supplies. Just asking mind, as we get loads of folks asking the same question over and over, it would save time and effort if we had a one stop info shop thingy !!!
  6. Hi Phil, Welcome.

Ok why would there be water in the oil? Not sure about your reasoning but if you feel that's right then your options are drain the oil and refill, should cure it if that's what's wrong, or check the clutch action to see if the cable or lines are broken or trapped, finally take the clutch cover off and really see what's going on. Not much else comes to mind. Hope you get it sorted but still unsure why you think it's water just cos it's been standing in the cold or has it had water pouring over it for weeks cos even then most engines are pretty waterproof if they weren't then if water can get in then oil can get out.
  8. I bought the touring screen for mine from the FJ owners club, made all the difference and you could do over a hundred without your head getting pulled off. It only adds a small flip up at the top but it really makes the bike handle better and gets rid of the wind up your nose problem. You do have to hunch down but who wants to be sitting up at 110 mph ?

Follow the above link to a PDF file if you want to. I think it's your bike WR125 is it?

Ok then your looking for the WORKSHOP MANUAL not the Haynes or Clymer type. not easy to get hold of but you can usually get a copy from online somewhere. As usual I'm not allowed to say where you should go looking cos they are usually copyrighted but suffice to say that if you type in Workshop manual into something like Google and follow any and all links you might find what your looking for, it won't be cheap if it's a good one but it will save you money in the long run plus it usually has a section on common faults and proper servicing procedures. Look here for a hint http://www.yamahar125.com/threads/download-yamaha-wr125r-wr125x-service-repair-manual.2900/

Christ Grouch if you didn't have bad luck you would have no luck at all would you? I understand that you want a full Yam dealer service book but really ! How much would you lose if you just serviced it yourself and then sold it? Not as much as these robbing bastards are charging you I bet. Buy the frigging manual and learn how to do it yourself, you say there isn't one ok how do the garage service it then fucking psychic are they?

A new Turbo will be in the realm of £400+ Hope some of that helps. An intro in the New Members section is always helpful, let's folks know your not just a one hit wonder. Don't mind helping but it's nice if you say Hello first.

Might be an idea to check to see if the bulb is ok, usually if one works but the other don't it;s a blown bulb, they use the same circuit.

Well that's a bugger of a place to put it, still better than inside the engine I suppose that will be next years model !!!

Hello, any chance of an INTRO?
  16. As you say it's usual for the front to pull off once you have the bolts undone. Spray some lube on the rubber and leave it overnight to see if that might make the bugger come off, when you think about it it's supposed to be tight to keep the water out at 80MPH !! Or you could use the wife's hairdryer to warm the casing up to see if that might make it rattle free, just guessing.

Didn't know you were a "POWER RANGER" Drewpy. Nice bit of kit tho.

Yes change the switch. Sounds obvious but if it's not working then you need to swap it out. Usually 2 screws or bolts on the switch body hold it to the frame then follow the wiring to the connector unplug it and your done, reverse to put on a new one. Lube the connectors before you put it back together just to make sure there is no corrosion after you have rebuilt it. Hope that helps? It's usual to do an intro in the new members section before you do a "how do I fix my bike" question, just polite to say Hi before you ask strangers to help out, just sayin !

I had the 400T, I really thought it was the dogs bollocks till it imploded, rebuilt and sold it 20 years ago, the only thing was the brakes were horrid, mine was the same colour and everything. I wonder if my wife will let me put the FJR in the sitting room, nope no even going to ask !!!
  20. Sweet mate, glad you got it sorted.

NO Prob, found these guys, don't know them but they might be able to give you some advice or even point you to someone local. http://hilltopmotorcycles.co.uk/ Don't know where you are in the world so not sure how relevant this is.
  23. slice replied to d-peach-13's post in a topic in Naked
I'm not sure, but I seem to remember that they don't usually do anything smaller than 600cc bikes, now I could be wrong but searching round the net has brought up a few firms that do "remapping" but all seem to be for large bikes, your best bet is to give a few folks a call that do remapping and see what they say, it might be that someone does do your bike, sort of off road type thing, but they may be as rare as rocking horse shit. Someone on here might have a better idea on what's out there, wish you luck tho and if you do get it done please chuck it up on here as others will no doubt find it interesting.

It's all about confidence and approach, if your confident that your enough of a rider to handle it and you approach it with a degree of healthy fear and dread then I don't see a problem with buying a great big lump of a bike, but always remember it will kill you if you f**k up. Not being dramatic or anything just saying that is a hell of a stride from a 125 to a 1300. I have just bought an FJR 1300, I have been riding since I was 14, so about 50 years, and I am just about ready for this thing, you might be much better than me, lot's are, and have confidence oozing out of every pore in your body but it won't help when it gets away from you. Just sayin mind not trying to twist you either way.

Yes I do understand, you get nothing for nothing, do you?
