Hi, checked on the following UK website http://recalledproducts.org/recall/view/yamaha-motorcycle and this is the details:- 1) XVS950 2) XVS1300 Brand: Yamaha Type/number of model: 1) XVS950: Type: VN02 EC type-approval: e13*2002/24*0302, Model code: 26P1/26P2/26P3/26P4 VIN numbers: JYAVN021000000301- JYAVN021000006020 Model year: 2009/2010/2011/2012 2) XVS1300: Type: VP26 EC type-approval: e13*2002/24*0144 Model code: 11C1 VIN numbers: JYAVP261000000301- JYAVP261000004961 Model year: 2007 Description: Motorcycle. Country of origin: Japan No picture available Danger: Fire The leak protection between the flexible rubber tubes and the metal pipes of the fuel injection system is not adequate as a result of the material used and due to excessively large tolerance limits for the diameter of the rubber tubes. This can result in a gradual loss of fuel. If fuel escapes on a large scale there is a risk of fire Hope this helps Bubble

650 Dragstar........... girls' bike??
Hi, 1. Female friend - rides a Gixer 750 - only times she' stops is for petrol- newbies in the club try to run but give up - her other half rides to see her at home! 2. Female - used to ride a Z1000 and a Z1300 6 pot like she stole it !!!! looks a little like a barbie doll. 3. Female rides a Suzauki 1400 & drives a HGV. Common thing they are STILL BIKERS and never under estimate them, any bike can be a'girly bike' even with a male riding and vice-versa. xx

XVS 1300 -2007 - cutting out!!
Hi, newbie on site (very good)- have a serious issue with my XVS 1300:(7,000 miles) Bike runs fine when standing - upto 1 hour - no issues - but when taken out for a run at 23 miles starts to degrade in running then at 30 miles cuts out and then will not run but will turn over and start running for a few seconds then cuts out (recommend do not try to push bike for 1.5 miles - very tiring!!). Solution so far - has been on a Dyno road - runs perfect - new plugs, air filter all checks out. NO lights on the speedo re the ECU no fault codes. The bike is an import from the states - hence if any parts needed you have to order them from the states. The mechanic thinks it might be the ECU !!! Any advice thoughts would be much appreciated..
