  1. I have read somewhere on the internet about a guy that fitted a tank from a 650 dragstar onto his xv535,but i can't remember where the hell i found it,has anyone on here done it or know anyone that has?

  3. Could you not use a washer on the side where the bolt would go through or find a piece of hollow bar to sleeve it down a bit?

  5. Looking good mate,don't go with the twin dominator headlights though,they look good but trust me they throw out less light than a flickering candle,i soon swapped mine back

  10. Does anyone know of a fabricator that can make me some mounting brackets and weld them onto a petrol tank for me in the Notts/Derby area,Or even remove the mounts from a spare tank i have and weld them onto another one? Cheers

    It sounds to me like you mean the ignition coil,if you have a crack in it then when it get's damp or wet it will cause it to arc to earth,you need to replace the faulty coil and see if that cures the problem,i'm pretty sure it will.

  21. I am looking for a few parts for my xv535 but have noticed xvs650 one's are much cheaper,floorboards for one,will the 650 one's fit my xv535? I can't really see why they wouldn't but have any of you good folks interchanged bits between the 2 bikes?

    I know the 535 tank question gets asked everywhere a lot,i know you could get a bigger tank conversion for the 535's but it only fitted i think pre 1989 with the dummy upper tank.My question is can the bigger tank be adapted to fit a 1991 model with the upper and lower tanks?
  24. Hello folks,i have a 1991 xv535 and whilst the front brake is ok i would like to fit a better caliper.Does anyone know of an uprated caliper maybe twin pot that will fit? Cheers all.
