I'm after some advice please guys, the starter clutch has packed up on my 535 virago so i got a repair kit to sort it,when i took the starter clutch off i found 2 cracks in it so obviously that is no good, the thing i am wondering is this the number of the starter repair kit i got is the same for a few Yamaha models so is it likely that the starter clutch will be the same on those as the 535,ie could i use one from another yamaha on my 535 because the 1 for the 535 is above 200 quid and bloody hard to find. Cheers Al

Right guys,i keep my project bike in my concrete sectional garage, the problem is it's that damp all my chrome is rusting and due to a health condition this is going to be a long term restoration as i sometimes am not fit enough to do anything to it for weeks on end.So my question is what is the best way to keep rust at bay ? WD40 didn't seem to help much so i thought maybe you guys could suggest something. Thanks Al

It really depends on the quality of the shockers you get, look on ebay and find the ones you like, get some slightly shorter than you have but don't go too short or the back end will bottom out when you ride.Cheap shocks would start at about 40 quid at a rough guess
