My problem is that I can not find the jet needle and the needle jet for the BDS34Mikuni carbs. The yamaha part #s are 22u-14904j-02-00 and 22u-1490j-04-00. This is a discontinued part but was hoping that some one knows of a sourse. Thanks for your help.

Has anyone ever replaced a cam chain on an xv 500 virago? Is it a big job? Thanks for your help.

I know this is a bit late but I just joined the forum this week. The T.C.I. modual some times goes bad but can be revived. Some wire on the circute board needs to be resoldered. On my 500 some one had already done it. There are people that can do it for you; just do a search on the internet.(Dr. Piston)link on his site. Good luck

Greetings. I'm a newbe to this forum and just last week I bought the xv500 virago as is. It now runs well with very little spent to get it going. The only thing I need now is a right side (battery) cover. Any one recomend a good source? I've recycled a five litre viniger jug as a temperary cover and painted it black. Sorta looks O.K.!
