  1. yeah you're right it was just the fact that he said a tank of 2T for one of petrol and no-one has ever said anything different to me before, also there is smoke coming from the exhaust and it smells very 2-strokey so it must be fine. thanks for the help!
  2. I've been riding my RXS100 for about 2 weeks now and when I bought it I was told it would get through a tank of two stroke oil for every 2 tanks of petrol. I've used about one maybe one and a half tanks of petrol since then and the oil level in the tank doesn't seem to be decreasing. Also when I kick the crank it often takes a couple of go's and starts idling at much lower revs than it did a few days ago, and I feel like the exhaust smells different but I might just be being paranoid about that. I'm worried that there may be a blockage in the oil tube and the oil isn't getting in to the engine. would it be normal for a two stroke to run for so long like this without oil? and was the guy I bought it off wrong about its oil consumption can it vary depending on the condition of the engine etc.? help would be greatly appreciated, thanks George.

Ah! that explains alot thankyou! I thought I'd damaged it! it's all running okay now actually it was just a little flooded but a couple of days of rest seemed to get it back to normal =)

I have recently bought a 1997 RXS 100. It was running fine when I got it and then it started having trouble with the engine, which I think is to do with flooding or perhaps a clogged spark plug (one of neighbours who has a bike told me this) he said he'd come round and help me take out the spark plug to clean it and so yesterday I looked in my toolkit to see if I had a spanner which would fit the spark plug and in the process attempted to remove the black cap on the spark plug (I don't know what this is called but I assume it is called the spark plug cap?) which attaches to the ignition coil. not knowing how to do this I simply pulled it off and I think I have damaged the thread in the cap as well as the end of the wire from the ignition coil looking a little damaged because it came out when I twisted the cap back on the plug. Does anybody know what cap fits to a BR8HS spark plug, will any cap fit or will I need to buy a whole new ignition coil? thanks
