Hi all, I'm upgrading the carbs on my 1975 XS500B and I have a couple questions: 1) Intake manifolds... can I run manifolds designed for the XS650? I know the stock manifold part numbers are different but I am hoping that this is only because tha carbs were different. Basically, I want to know if the upgraded manifolds designed for an XS650 will mount to my engine. 2) I am planning to buy the VM32, is this sufficient or do I need the VM34? The bike will be running pods and free flowing exhaust. It has upgraded coils and wires and NGK iridium plugs. Thanks, R

The auction is here: My link This kit will allow you to use the following filters on your Yamaha XS500: K&N: KN-303 Emgo: 10-82232 Purolator: ML16817 Yamaha: 3FV-13440-00 FRAM: PH6017A I've confirmed that the seller would ship to Canada so I assume the USA is a-ok too. I'm not bidding as I got lucky and sourced one locally. These are very hard to find and mine cost me $80USD. Good luck all! R
