  3. well it seems to me that stock bikes tend to go ? into 1 im guessing this would be to make them quite and you do lose some performance because of this pressure change but I suppose it depends on how you setup and if your taking weight in to account I think were going 2 - 2 less welding to do and less complicated abit heavyer if ya got a good welder and grinder to hand also got a bar bender it should not be to hard
  4. yep using straight through tailpipe/s , don't know what the best setup wil be 2 into 1, or 2 into 2
  5. iv been checking on comparison but wont get quoted il try when its done and dyno tested or give them the stock BHP and add that its been super charged im not a 100% but il try anything this principle of a supercharged engine is way easyer than turboing to me and is more efficient and cooler but its getting it to run at the right ratio increasing RPM from head to compressor and getting it a good PSI and being well balanced which will be the hardest so the XT don't just vibrate to pieces
  6. gonna have to I think engines run at different RPM's and Suzuki only has a 6 pin cdi xt has 7 same block connecter though have the loom battery fuse board just need rec coil and cdi I can loop most the kills and the rest il use the XT's ie key ignition lights clutch switch and break switchs
  7. as most riders I love me first bike but knowing that I was doing me DAS test this year (Now Passed) I started to think what bike to get next and almost brought a 95' ZX400 that fell through then decided to look in to what engine I could change for my XT 125 250 seemed a reasonable upgrade about a Year ago I payed for an engine for mine and a friends project which ended up going back to a 125 That will do It came off a Suzuki GZ 250 (marauder) not the most powerful engine but its already double a stock XT's BHP on a heavier bike so iv started to buy the electrics came with A 34mm CV carb iv restored and boxed spec is a Single AC 249cc SOHC 4V Twin exhaust ports so it has a chance of being modified while sat there looking at the engine then the manual then the engine over and over I noticed the cam runs a duplex cam chain and on the head cover on the side there is a cap centered with the end of the cam shaft (chain side) im thinking damn that's strong enough and so perfectly positioned . . . SUPERCHARGER so il remove the cap have the cam remade with higher lift an added output shaft to run the SC system add a oil seal ring where the cap used to be correct to the output then figure out the correct RPM Ratio for the compressor to reach the correct Psi via 2 cam belt setup this will not be easy a lot of trial and error but when it works damn it will be a one of a kind im hoping it will take less than 3 months so progress may seem slow any pointers welcome and il try to keep this updated

I get the ultimate combo on the way back from work about 7am sundays a woman in a black 1.8 BMW always over takes me and drives like a dick tempted to load up me pocket with nails and see what happens next time not worth me getting banged up tho well its an Yamaha XT125R with a Suzuki GZ 250 engine = YamaSuki XT 250 Z and theres enough room for modifying with the 250 to add some ridicules mods
  9. yeah that is a very worrying trend and not to prejudge but tend to be young female drivers in small cars Passed me DAS yesterday woop woop and nearly head the same thing happen during my test young woman head phones in typical tester must have seen I have ability to remain calm and in control these situations iv fixed the XT now so im gonna get working on the 250cc supercharged engine to go in need to make the super charger this shouldn't be to hard just need two more electrical parts and make new full exhausts naming it the YamaSuki XT250Z I will post a progress on the projects forums

  11. eh im a very busy man I work full time and am a full time carer for me missus and trying to start a business but iv got the solicitor on case to get me paid out even if its just for me gear and injurys and loss of work iv bodged the xt so it runs just got to fit indi's and new bars which il fix tomoro should do for now im making sure im on the road as much as I can ill I find the corsa problem is im chasing around every blacked out black corsa to check for damage fuck no's what these drivers think looking back
  12. even tho the xt's fucked down the one side iv bodged the gear lever back on and set me forks as straight as I can cus I couldn't miss this weeks sun I go to work at 10pm and back at 6am and do about 10 mile in one journey so this weather is a dream ot me rather than -15.C I need this sun
  13. thing is I don't want to change from Yamaha they are reliable engines in my experience just need looking after but ill try anything let me know im getting on the phone to insurance in the morning and got it booked in at my local Yam dealer for accident repair estimate if its a write off (worst case) I wil look in to buying it back for a reduced price and crack on with 250ing it
  14. iv reused the gaskets nad no leaks should be ok

I had spend a fair bit on it but even just in service parts I have just been buying all the parts for an engine swap now that's gone t waste read though my insurense the bike value is 1200 and my excess is 950 on a TPFT but luckily I whent with MCE and they do excess cover on non fault claims so MCE will only give me 250 pay out and I will have to wait up to 6 months to receive the 950 excess that MCE take off the value gutted I would fix it in a few days but the engine does not sound good which could get expencive and ignitions fucked key doesn't work so I wouldn't leave it any where other than locked up might start looking for a new bike soon Whats an equal in Yam land to a Kawasaki ZX4 (90s)

  19. yerp im alive and sore as fuck, luckily iv got a lot of experience over 3 1/2 years 45000 miles and new how to leave the bike when in danger as safely as posible I payed upfront for all costs of the lisence bike comes included cheers though any info will be of help well a friend just told me of some one over wednesfield wolvo same description and was driving like a dick almost force his car with his kids in off the road
  20. im appealing to any one that saw a hit and run to day around 12 in Dudley on castle island involving a black and gold XT (<Me) and a black corsa with blacked out windows and rims young I think female driver early to mid 20's at a guess as I was undertaken bye this twat as I whent to exit a 3 lane island taking the 2nd exit from second lane when corsa on the out side lane cam from behind on the outside lane to take the 4th exit I hit the rear offside and whent down all the police need is a number plate the got the car on camara and witnesses totally in my favour so if you saw any thing or no any one with a car of this description with crash damage on the rear offside panel please pm me the number plate so I can get them sent down she has pretty much wrote off my baby and injured me/nearly fucking killed me this person has been seen driving like a right twat on and around Birmingham new road which makes me believe she is local and was heading toward tipton/b-ham as she sped of through red lights any help would be greatly appreciated I don't want this to end my passion for riding I have the das booked next Thursday and no fucking bike :@

I thought the same thing with my XT but when iv been sat next to a friend on his YBR the engines sounds exactly the same and his and he'd only done a few 100 mile since getting it from the yam dealer at this point id done 35000 mile try not to worry to much Im sure they use springload tensioners on the YBR & XT in the service manual check for the tensioner is to remove tensioner (two bolts either side) remove end cap on tensioner and insert a thin long screwdriver in the the opening and gently push you should feel no resistance by this I mean should not catch, feel rough or grip when checking operation hope this helps
  22. the loom for the suzi 250 has arrived all I need is oil change, cdi, ignition coil and make two downpipes £200 and it will be time for me to get to work it uses the exact same battery 1 less cost happy days
  23. and what did you set it to if you don't mind me asking stock intake valve is 0.08 closed stock exhaust valve is 0.12 closed im going to spend some time tomoro messing and tweeking to get her running better so this would be helpful I assumed you had to change the cam to get the valves to a lift higher or is there limit on the free play
  24. iv had recent back firing an it was due to the hose from fuel vac to manifold being kinked and perished I this will sound abit of a novice but could you change the value timing by turning crank to TDC take the cam covers off remove tensioner and rotate the cam side chain gear by 1 tooth or however many times either way keeping the chain in the same place (use markings) then fit back together not the most technical but you get the idea I may try it before I change engine
