  1. looking SWEET turnip...good job, and welcome
  2. haha...we know that, I think what they are saying is...it's a Big Trailbike Event, so it doesn't get too competitive. It's on Public Roads afterall....
  3. They are allowing a DRZ 400....why don't you ask them if they would accept your bike? they can only say no at the worst!!
  4. Hi, Looking for one, possibly two team members to do this event. Cost for the Team Entry is only £45, with proceeds going to a very good cause, Welsh Air Ambulance. It is a one-day navigational green-laning event, sort of like a treasure hunt, but aimed at beginners/inexperienced riders too!! Read more here.... http://www.taffydakar.co.uk/Eventschedule.html I have ridden with the organisers before, they are great fun, and this is an event not to be missed!!!! The scenery and trails are stunning. I am guessing it will be in South-East Wales, not too far from the Bridge. Road-legal offroad tyres like MT21 or TKC80 are advised. They don't want motocrossers, just Trail type bikes, any age, and if it's not quite a 600cc, they may bend the rules for us!! Who's up for it? send me a message and post on here as well, if you want "in"

its Taffmoto for plastic panels...he has the under seat sidepanels coming around the end of February, and then the front panel afterwards. I bought a pair of the tank cowling plastics, and they are as good as, if not better than the originals
  9. and I thought having two bikes was a bit silly....look at you lot!!!!! Anyway, thanks for the warm welcome guys and girls!
  10. I think I know of you Mervin!!!!!!!!! ...great taste in your rides etc...!!! Martin isn't too keen on the cosmetic side of the work....shame.
  11. I have been lurking for ages ( 2 years plus!!), so here I am!! BOO !! I am a bit of a Yam fan (unknowingly, but I nearly always end up with a Yam!!).. I like a bit of adventure, so my XT660R fits the bill very well. I have done a bit of off-roading on it, including the Pyrenees, plus trips up north to the Lakes, Isle of Man etc...what a perfect bike for me..... And I have just bought a two stroke TDR 250, which is going to be restored.....it isn't in bad nick at all really, but as the frame has a few small areas of rust, I thought I would just do the lot, and go through it all, helps to get to know a bike methinks... Anyways, nice to meet you all....... Richard
  12. oops, sorry....I have been on here for a good 2 years...thought I must have uttered a word before...but seems I haven't til now!!
  13. hi.. Just bought a TDR250 and looking for someone to re-build the engine......its only done 8,000 miles, but been standing for 17 years in a dry garage... So, I want the crank-seals and the other seals renewed, and possibly needs pistons, or just rings....don't know! Don't want it tuned, just standard....... Also, I want to paint the head/barrels/crankcases......... Looking for someone who maybe works from home who is a 2 stroke nut, or ex-racer etc. Stan Stephens looks very expensive.... I'm nearish to Gatwick, but willing to travel...... Any ideas? ( pm me if you wish?) thanks, Richard
