Motorcycle MOT manual online http://www.ukmot.com/bike_index.asp If you can make sense of it you are a better person than I, think if it is wired ie a loom is there with the plug for the bulb or fittings are present it needs to be working and in legal condition. Certainly my understanding of it when I did MOTs for a job.
  2. But did he die because he stole the bike or because when he saw the blues and heard the twos behind him he chose to try and outrun them? Me personally and the vast majority of people would have stopped, is this because as law abiding people we would not have stolen in the first place? If I had stolen something there comes a point where I would put my hands up and stop because my life is worth than trying to out run the police. My choice/his choice. He chose wrong.
  3. They steal and take the risk, if they get chased and dont stop for the police well so be it. It then becomes their choice, personally I think a Tazer or stinger may be the answer. Having just got my sons bike going agian after it was stolen, some bast@@d has had it away again, I have no stmpathy for them, cost money and his job.

Had the same thing on a RS200, said 850 on the cases and in the manual. When it had been run a few miles the level was ok. Ticking over on the stand did not work. Is it the gearbox oil thats leaking or the 2 stroke oil thats leaking from around the cover where the oil injection pump is located?
  5. All the teeth or some of, some of would suggest the oil pump side of things is jammed, all of them must I think be a meshing problem. Do you check the pump turns each step of instalation and do you turn the engine by hand to check it is seated correctly? Go slowly checking as yoy go and stop at the point it IS STARTING going wrong. Hope its some help, other thing is a second pair of eyes watching as you go.
  6. Excellent, thanks, 2 toggle switches and job done. Quite right, to easy to nick but guess he had to learn the hard way.
  7. Hi, can not find a wiring diagram but some lovely lad stole my stepsons T80 Townmate bike and ripped out the wiring. The bike runs now, lights work, but the whole ignition switch is missing and I assume it kills the engine as it is hand over carb at the moment. Any help with how the switch is wired/works would be appreciated as a new switch is more than the bike is worth. Was thinking of using a toggle switch as a kill switch if I can work out how to wire in the 3 wires. JC

Hi, must be a first, dont need help (at the moment). Just rebuilt my first 2 stroke Yamaha and now have the rs200 on the road. Have owned many over the years from old Brits to modern BMW but decided some spannering was in order as I used to enjoy it. Have discovered that I still do. Been riding bikes for years, scarey how many really. I am 57 years old and live in Kent UK.
