I have a 2001 fazer 600 with only 18,500 miles on the clock. I recently went to start the bike, but when I did, I found that the rev counter and Odo were not working (the words ODO, where in the top right of the LCD screen).I did however have the 2 trip meters and the digital clock. After speaking to a local bike repair shop, I was told that it would be cheaper to replace the clocks with 2nd hand onces, as having a diagnostic done on the old set was costly, and he had heard that the fazer 600 had an inherant problem with the electronics in the clocks.
Does anyone know of this problem, or does anyone know why it happens and can it be fixed ? If you do then please contact me at (
[email protected] ), I have managed to purchase a 2nd hand set of clocks but they are from an earlier model and don't have the 2 trip meters or digital clock on that the origional ones had. They did however have 69k on the clock, which need to be reset to my origional milage. As before, I'd be grateful if you know of anyone who does this, to conact me. I have also changed the battery as the repair shop I spoke to thinks that the problem I've had could be to low battery voltage.
