    What IS that factory paint?

    I'm restoring a '79 DT175F I've had for about 25 years, and am wondering; does anyone know if the factory (silver) paint is lacquer or enamel? Thanks for any help!

    I have a '79 DT175 with less than 3000 miles on it; the oil light is always on when the bike is running, until I put it in gear...always been that way. Everything else works fine. Hope I helped.
