did you ever find out?? I want to take my forks apart and the haynes manual says to make a home made tool with the "correct" size bolt as a hex drive. it does not say what size the hex is in the bottom of the stanchions is? and it is not the easiest thing to measure. Phil

Am rebuilding a pre divi XJ600. Not got the engine running yet, I am sorting out the loom and the electrics. What I need to know is should the oil light come on when you first switch the ignition on? or is it only when the oil level falls? I do not want to remove and check too much stuff if it is working correctly. Apart from the neutral light, is there any indication that the ignition is switched on? Phil
