Hey guys here what I would say is the best tip for you to get the best insurance you can get: Play the companies off against each other to get the best deal Shop around. Use comparison websites Call the companies as well the Internet is not you only tool Try to see if you really need fully comp. (or if fully comp is cheaper) Make sure you enter all the data correctly If you have any tips leave a reply and I will add them
  2. Is that fully comp or third party fire and theft?

Thanks guys I have looked at the XJ6 and it's not to bad a looking bike. As for the reply to the fact of the advice from my uncle I have asked him as he now rides a Kawasaki ZZR 1400 and after being pillion on it I was amazed how he can manoeuvre that huge tank of a bike and that is when I realised only experience can allow you to drive those bikes so maybe a XJ6 for me
  4. Well already it seems I have learned it's not all about speed but cornering is actually more important. I find that a nice Sunday morning with the sun just rising shining through the crisp trees in autumn sounds rather lovely to me just as the leaves are falling on what is known to my family as a wiggly woggily road to normal people a road which varies in height drastically and has alot of bends seeing as my bike struggles to take corners easily (so I'm told I have no experience on other bikes so never had anything to compare to) and due to this I have had to learn to counter steer rather quickly (not complaining it's a good thing) and preferably with little traffic as well so I conclude I want a bendy altitude varying road with little or no traffic on an autumns day when it's sunny

Yet another pointless post from me In my mind I can see a top 4 sportsbike 600cc which are: Yamaha R6 Suzuki GSX600R Honda CBR 600 RR Kawasaki ninja ZX6R Now being your average overly high on hormones teenager these are four very predictable popular bikes for me to say " I like them because there fast" yet this is not the real reason I say these four bikes for one reason. My uncle has had one of each and I more often than not will swear by what he says due to him being an ex racer and being a teenager will believe anything. Now my question to the forum is which of this would you pick? And it's not over yet give a rating on these points: (out of 5) Speed: Handling: Looks: Price effectiveness: How rare is it to find a well kept example? Cheers guys from Christian
  6. Hey again guys Was just wondering my dad asked me if I knew anything that we could do to upgrade his Я125 while I know we could rejet the carb and change the exhaust and maybe naked the bike (reluctant to do that) we decided to look more into changing the exhaust so without further a do what exhaust would be best for my dads R125 Cheers christian

    Hahaha legend
  8. Well when I say mechanics I do mean going to independents such as the two or three garages we have here in frome. Me and my dad know very little about bikes yet both my dad and mum are qualified car mechanics (well my dad isn't qualified but self qualified ) and neither of them would touch the bikes with a barge pole due to the fact they don't know if it's the same idea with a bike
  9. I'm off on a bit of a rant here so bear with me Whilst I know many people have experience on their bikes and can work on them I find it amazing when people seem to just sit there and just say "it won't go" and alot of my friends who have problems who have no experience are totally reluctant to go and get their bikes fixed and I can accept were 16 and have little money but still is it not true that we can't afford to cut corners and bodge everything so that our bikes are being held together by duct tape (which one of my friends bikes is) this issue just seems to keep coming to light and I would like to know why so many people are just so reluctant to ask for help? Is it pride? Is it financial? Or is it they don't want to be told their baby is totally dead? Cheers Christian
  10. This sounds like the same problem I had with my TZR I simply kept forgetting to put the stand up and when I put It into gear it died I instantly got worried and didn't think properly so maybe check the stand is up? If not maybe do. The dreaded thing and go to a mechanic?

Hey there Geoff if your looking for motorbikes your best bet is keeping an eye on MCN eBay and autotrader eventually you will find the motorbike for you
  14. Well im no expert infact I have very little idea about this. But I would recommend changing the carb to a racing carb change the exhaust to a racing exhaust try and find some lightweight fairing just make it as light as possible get rid of the headlights by buying racing fairing theres many ways just go to try and find the most effective ways

  21. That was brilliant to see and funnily enough made me laugh and its good to see some countries arent health and safety....human rights crazy
  22. People may have overlooked this but maybe www.gocompare.com? And your location will not help but really thats a stupid amount of money even for me my insurance was only £320 maybe try going for Third party fire and theft?
  23. ChristianSRA replied to Welshy81's post in a topic in The Bar
Now personally I would say jumping straight onto a 600cc or larger is highly unreasonable and maybe even fatal to your health I have thought about this when my dad asked when he wanted to do direct access then when we looked further into it it seems that doing this would be stupid after talking to numerous experienced drivers including my uncle who used to race bikes he even said that he does not think it a good idea to jump straight onto a 600cc so funnily enough today we bought a R125 for my dad for him to learn on then maybe when he has had a lot more experience to then jump onto a 600cc or maybe just use my TZR when I am 17 as the R125 wi be fr me then. After going into totally useless babble I hope this has helped in some deluded way

I have just insured my tzr for £320 what I want to know is if this is actually a reasonable price for third party fire and theft I heard my friend for £240 on his Kinroad could this be because it's a four stroke 50cc? Or have I just got a bad deal considering this is my first bike and I have no no claims bonus Cheers
  25. ChristianSRA replied to friedegg's post in a topic in General
Sounds like you were stuck behind some 50cc?
