it's just that I have ridden Yamaha nearly all my life, since 1975. and now a neighbour comes along and says he bought himself a XJR1300 and he insists that it is a V twin. so I had an argument with him and told him that he does not have a clue because it's a inline 4. he is one of them sort of people who know everything...... but I can't remember seeing him riding a bike before. I just thought I make a point. I ride XS 750 and I'm very happy with the bike, I have 4 of them. The sound is great.

I am wondering if anyone can help me with this one: the Yamaha bikes have a prefix like XS, RD, XJR, XV, and so on... can you tell me what them letters mean? ok XV : the V means that it is a V engine. what are all them other letter meaning?

hi there could you show us some pics of your xs triple?
  6. hi there a good choice you made there. the engines are basicly the same, there are minor changes over the years. your bike is probably a 1J7.... have a look at this site, there you will find a parts manual and also parts to buy, the manuals are free. http://www.cmsnl.com then you should try these 2 links aswell, you will find a welth of info there. http://www.yamaha-triples.org if you need any more help then please ask. schlumpf

Is there anyone who rides a xs 750 triple? I would like to hear from you about your bike. I have a xs 750 se and some other xs 750's.
  8. hi there yes it is the crank breather, normaly conected to the air filter. if you don't have the original air filter fitted the I would get a small filter to fit on to the end of the tube, make sure you do NOT block this pipe of.
