right ive got the bike started altho not by the start button.. which I must add that the oil light come on before it started to fail... just like when starting a car all lights come on till it fires up ....... not ive got another problem when I rev it it takes ages for the revs to drop to tick over im thinking a sticky throttle or carb issues . the 2nd I hope it is not..... but on the bright side the engine sounds good and all gears select as they should. ill get some photos for you guys soon as it is a project and im sure a spray job will be in the pipeline

hi guys im having a lot of trouble with this xj600 . 1991 pre div I bought it as a non runner to do up over the winter months I was told it had fuel issuses and poss need a carb clean . so I got it home tried turning it over and was turning freely using the starting motor but wouldn't kick into life. so I took out the spark plugs one by one and turned over the engine only a spark on 1 and 4 plugs. which leads me to believe the coil could have gone.. as theres 2 coils and 1 and 4 are on the same one. . . now here is the most annoying bit. I let my mate have a look over it last night whilst I had to pop out. . I went in to my garage today to find all ht leads off. and the bike wont engage the starting motor when the button is pressed.. the oil light comes on. ??? also I hav´nt got a clue in which order the leads are ment to go on..... there are colour coded but I cant find anything on the net about it.. . . . .. sorry for the lack of spelling in advance. regards.

ive put my dt125lcs on ebay having no money to do them up theres 2x mk1 and a mk2 loads and loads of bits item number 270591703037 sad to see them go but theres no point them sat there cheers

hi guys having got my mk2 dt125lc i started searching the net for parts and spares i conme across 2 more dts but these are the mk1 10v i was just wondering how much would a bottom end rebuild cost as one of the mk1 s seems to be a bit rough cheers

ur right it is yeis and also it has a 34x on the head of the engine ill get some pics on later as its going to a mates to have the electrics looked at many thanks paul

another Q what is ypvs as theres a little black box on the bike with them letters on it but to be honest theres nothing in it and yes my dog is a great poser

yes mate thats the back section im needing the front one the one that come with the bike was of a dt50 but with a 125 fitting welded to fit the exhaust thingy which i would have thought it would strangle it cheers

ive been looking everywhere for one but no joy i even put a bid on ebay for one but its for a later model as its on the right side so lets hope i dont win that one atb

its on a b-plate so i think its a mk2 need a few parts to get her on the road fork seal the front exhaust is missing the headlamp plastics are broken the engine runs but has the wrong main jet in...it didnt come with one its all i had to cheak it run and the electrics even if it means a full rewire..it would be worth it to see her on the road everything else looks to be all there atb paul

merv i can only see 1 fuse and thats on the live from the battery is there any more i just cant see AND DONT SAY SPEC SAVERS im blind as a bat cheers for the advice

hi guys im paul live in torbay devon i like tinkering with motorcycles but have come to a real problem ive just got a new project bike and was told it didnt need a lot of work well when i got her home no electrics work at all wello exept the temp gauge but thats a start lol has anyone ever had a full rewire done and how much am i looking at shelling out by the way its a old 1985 dt125lc any help appreciated cheers paul
