:hi to the Forum Motiztab The wiring from the clutch lever indicates a switch, so you can start it in gear :wink: .....& if there's no switch @ the sidestand, then it is possible to ride with the stand down ....which can be easily avoided by proper riding habits.

I was just reading again, where Eddie Lawson can turn lap times @ Laguna in a 250cc shifter kart, as fast as World SuperBikes 8)

Got one of those myself Gigs........they have some type of weird switching in the ignition, where you have to flip that handlebar swith to RUN after it's started :? .....something to do with transferring the spark :?: I'd like to get a hold of a factory service manual for these bikes, & figure out how to bypass that switch all together. :wink:

1st thing i've always done to any of my Yamaha's in the past.....is to bypass that Damn sidestand switch! :wink:
