Typical Dealer mentality Anytime you have firing issues ONLY when the motor is hot........Money on it, it's got to do with the Ignition. Granted, Stator's, CDI boxes & primary coils are not cheap ........but @ least they're easy to swap out.

Sounds like it could be a stator coil going tits up My XT showed these symptoms once.......& after learning the hard way .......the Stator was the guilty culprit.

I can think of a handful of roads I'd like to rail that 125 on! ......

He was going down the Freeway.....couldn't get this cager off his backside.....so, reached in his left pocket & pulled 1 out & let it go right from on top of his shoulder.........Never saw that idiot again. 20/50 Castrol.......Never let me down.....& worth every penny. The difference between Car & Bike oil, is usually in the formulation......meaning that Bike oil is safe for wet clutches which most bikes have. To contradict this, I've used Castrol 20/50 GTX in the past, in my bikes & never had an issue. 10/40 will work......but 20/50 will work Better.

An OldSkool Biker mate of mine carries a handful of pinball-sized ball bearings in his pocket........just for those cell-phoned tethered cagers that like to follow too close....... Amazing how much damage 1 ball bearing can do @ 70mph!

to the forum SnakeRider Sounds like your XT could use a bit of Di-Restricting? (Basically, it's a platewasher-looking bit thats mounted between the carb & the cylinder head usually inside the intake boot).....once you've found it.....remove it. Might also be 1 in the exhaust side as well. Not too difficult of a task........& WELL worth the effort when you're done.
