  1. Update Plenty of oil and several hours to soak in. Result - tubes sip out ok. Pete
  2. Hi I just registered for the site. I have a real problem. I need to remove the fork legs to have new seals installed. I have removed the four pinch bolts and the tubes are fast in there. I have managed to get them out of the top yoke with plenty of oil and a large hammer and a steel drift but they are really stuck in the bottom yoke. The bike is in near perfect condition and no rust on the parts. I have done this job several times before on other bikes and just cant believe that the tubes don't just slide out. I am now thinking I may have to strip off the top fairing and remove the steering head complete with tubes and take it in to the shop. This would be a big job! Any ideas on how to proceed would be very handy. Help! [email protected]
