im rebuilding a 1990 dtr 125 l to go back on the road when it came to me the ignition wos gone i could put a new one back on but i just wont to bypass it but not mess any wireing up for the lights and indecators ive looked at the wireing loom diagram but dont know wich one gose to my bick ther are 2 for my year so it says in the haynes book page 142 we have dt 3db1 model and page 143 we have dt 3rn1 3rn2 and 3rn4 models how can i find wich is mine so i dont mess up thankyou adrian p.s sorry about spelling not my stong point

my son has a dtr 125 that he has used for some time of road but he has kept well now he wonts to put it back on the road he as all the lights and things to go back on as we bought it with no pappers and no reg plat we dont know it's age i did have the bike checked at my local police station and the vin number frame number and engen number wher all fine and it wosent stolen it had no keeper loged as it had been a repo all we had to do wos appliy for it's doc's but my son ternd it in to a of road bike so we dident. he repainted the fram ready to go back on the road and hes lost the vin plate kids ive got a v55/5 and a v149 from dvla but karnt tell the age of bike all we have is the frame number *3MD-008588 * THANKYOU ADRIAN

got a dt 125 from a police sale dosent look to old i got the keys but no papper work i need to appliy for new ones as ther were no plates on bike and the dvla were no help i can get it put it back on the road but for peace of mind id just like to know its age some one told me its on the frame thanks ady

ill go out tomorow and give it a good run then ill change the gear box oil let u know how it runs thanks ady

i did what you sead and the cluch is loads better but it still cut out when i put it in gear so i had a look for the wire that usea to be on the kick stand sensor and it wos just hanging down the back so i testerd it with a volt meter when the bike wos runing and found its onley an earth that grounded when the kick stand wos rased so i earthed the blue wire and the bike dident cutout and it runs fine. thankyou for your help 5 star help thanks ady

we dont knowe as he converted this one to a off road bike when he got his new dt. how do you tell its age

ill have a look and see wher the marks are i just wonderd if it has done eney damige becouse he left the bike for about 1 year so i had to change the cluch oil bcouse if you pulled in the cluch it dident do eneything but with new oil and a bit of pushing and pulling its got better could the cluch plats be stiking thanks ady

thers no saftey sensor on the stand

my son has a dt 125. it starts fine but when he pulls the cluch and drops it in to gear it cuts out with the cluch lever still pulled in thers plenty of tention on the cable and its not stiking culd it be the cluch set up on the cluch baskit
