i bought an fzr600 genesis 1991, which hasnt been on the road for the last six years, now it will rev up lovely in neutral but as soon as its in gear and under load it misses and splutters till about 6000rpm then it clears and goes like a nutter right the way to the red line can anyone help me to resolve this please ,

can any one help me please, recently bought an fzr600 on a j reg and when i pull the front brake in the light doesnt come on, i pulled the wires off to have a look but cant remember which way they go back on as i have 4 wires in front of me and only need 2. for the switch how could i test to see whats what and if the switch is any good please
