  1. If ya go away from the international number standard, ya can get different sizes,,,,,,, they prob arent as good a quality but there still a bearing. (just change it more often) 12mm ID, 34mm OD, 11mm depth. mabey 11mm is too thick for ya
  2. Might go to this this year,,,,,, if the weather picks up although the Carol Nash show is on, on the first weekend in March and i think its a bit better !
  3. Drewp's i had this very prob with "Mini Bike" rear wheel. I think it happened cause the rear axle wasnt tightened propperly,,,,,, the bearing was spinning in the hub and made it bigger,,,,,new propper size bearing i bought was loose. Anyway,,,, all the bearings have numbers stamped on them,,,,,all the numbers mean different things (as usual) So you can buy bearings that have the same internal diameter as yours but have a heavier outer diameter. One of the numbers stamped on bearing mean heavy or lighter outer diameter. Only thing is,,,, there isnt much of a difference between the two types,,,,,, so ya might have ta use your Italian tin yet !!!
  4. Blackhat's Eliminator 900 if a lovely bike to ride,,,,,loads of that wonderfull Tourqe 600cc is loads of power for a first bike,,,,,even 2 up,,,,, be carefull though as 2 up can be tricky if your not used to it. Buying a Litre + bike for a first bike isnt a good idea,,,,,, specially a V-max. There's a lad close to me that has one,,,, riding along the road in 4th gear,,,,not toutching clutch,,,, he can floor the throttle and this puts smoke everywhere as the back wheel lights up in uncontrolably. That said the Kawaker ZRX1200 is a great big bike Fazer is a better bike than the Bandit in my opinion. I fully checked them all out when i sold my CBR 600 to buy The Fazer. Ill get a pic of it.
  5. Does a MT-01 really only have 86 bhp ??? surly it has more than that. My Fazer 600 has 95 bhp,,,,,, i traveled round Scotland last summer and hardly ever came out of 6th gear XJR 1300 is a fine fine fine bike !!!
  6. Kev,,, What the hell do ya be searching for !!!

    1974 DT 125

That bike is in great shape. Definatly fix her up,,,,,, she will look lovely
  8. If you have to do a test anyway,,,,,,, why not go for a full bike licence,,,,,,,,then you can ride anything you want whenever you want. Would it not be just as easy to pass on a 600+cc bike as on a 125cc I would do full licence and be done with tests forever.
  9. Definatly do it,,,,,,,,, youll have a great time. Travel light, you wont use half the shit ya bring with ya. Yep, to the spare plug,,,,,,,, the other posts seem to have covered most things. Touring on a 125 is great,,,,,,,, you get to see more things. Dont get caught out and run outa fuel. Have fun.
  10. Pulled mini bike out the day for a look,,,,,,, here be a few pic's Hopin to start back at her again soon. Photobucket is SHITE so thats all yere gettin
  11. Tis 2 stroke oil Jason,,,, ill let ya answer him again,,,,,,,,,,,,,, even though your busy tearing your 175 apart. What happened her was just bad luck, eh! Least the Big-end is fine and youll be back motering in no time.
  12. Lengthen the "Dog Bones" (i think your bike has them) on the rear swing arm, this will lower the rear of the bike. Slide the forks through the yoks a little, a little movement here drops the front a fair bit. Bleed the air from the forks, if ya have trapped air the forks will be pushed out to there max and wont compress much. Putting heavier fork oil in will only harded up the suspension, making them boounce less and therefor keep the front of the bike higher. I've no idea on wiring. Keep the oil pump,,,,,,, if your off-roading the bike will be up in the revs a lot,,,,,, the engine runs leaner when up in the revs,,,,,, with oil pump working it gives more oil the more you twist the throttle
  13. Try going UP 1 or 2 teeth on the rear sprocket. Its not much of a jump but might be all you need. When i was riding my 125 to Yorkshire from ireland, i dropped 1 tooth on the rear, this made a tiny difference to the power of the bike but made a big difference on saving fuel. All i really wanted was not to have the bike reving too high for such a long trip.
  14. Yep Blackie,,,,, no carb icing on these ahaywood, One pipe is fuel and the others are water to the carb. When you putting her back togeather youll know wher they go as the lengths of them are different.
  15. Have ta agree with Blackhat on this one. R6 is as good as R1 on a track or twisty roads. The 600RR your getting is a fast bike, very much the same as the blade. Cynic is also right,,,, they are unforgiving,,,,,get it wrong going into a corner and your in big trouble. I had the older version CBR600F, fine bike also but uncomfortable, the RR feels like it has twice the power so you need to really get to know the bike before you push your limits on it. Good realiable bike, good engine, frame, brake and all the rest,,,,,nice to look at but more than an hour ride and you will be feeling sore. I wouldnt give up my Fazer for one of them anyway. Fazer is a good bike allround.
  16. You need to up-jet,,,,,is it a 210 jet or a 240in it now? regardles you need to up-jet you also need more air comming in, try cutting the snorkel making it shorter by half then you need the right air mixture screw setting then you need the right idle screw setting. then you need to do a plug chop several times to make sure everything is ok. on top of all this,,,,,,,, i dont like the big-one exhaust for the DT. they just dont seem to suit the bike. DEP is more suited to the bike. The higher the revs you put on the bike the more the bikes leans out,,,,,,this is why you need plug chop after killing the engine during high revs,,,,,freewheel to a stop. Because you have changed the exhaust, this means you change every setting for the carb and the air intake. Forget about all settings you allready had,,,,,,,start fresh and do it right,,,,,,then you wont damage your piston,,,,,provided you havent allready.
  17. Happy Christmas ta ye all. Enjoy da day with your family.

    which Fazer?

Hey Graham, long time no here sir.. Definatly get the FZS,,,,get the foxeye model,,,last year they were made is 2003 I've ridden the FZ and they are not half the bike,,,, that goes for the frame and the engine. Frame flexes if ya ridin hard and the engine is very lifeless and not as reliable. Before i bought my FZS i really tested both bikes and i wouldnt even buy a cheap FZ. Hope this helps mate. Pat
  19. Nice wee bike. Yes take care on it,,,,,,,,, wet leaves on road are very dangerous
  20. Make up a bar or plate to protect,,,,, simples You have a DT125re The r model finished in 2003
  21. Hey Kev, how you ? A've been busy
  22. Aye,,,,,,its on the long finger for now,,,,,,,,,but not forgoten about = I will finish it. On your pocket bike,,,,,,,, look up the exhaust port for piston or rings damage. Have you a spark ? Otherwise,,,,,,,,, the carb on these we bikes are very sensitive, set it up right and youre on a winner. Post a wee pick of it.
  23. Halloween has been and gone, so it shouldnt be screaming and howling and more !!! My money is on = you need to repack the wheel bearings with High Melting Point grease. (black in colour) Once you do this and ride the bike for a while, you need to check bearings for play again. Once the bearings free-up ya might find that they are fooked ! It could also be coming from trapped air in the rad system. Being the time of year it is (cold) you might as well put in new coolant and re-bleed the system properly. HTH Pat
