  1. Nice work Oldgit Yea I second that, Vez Standerd main jet in a Mikuni carb is 210, Dont think a 250 rather than a 240 would be much of a prob. So she feels much better now then, eh Paul
  2. Lovely mate have never seen it done, but maby white spokes in the wheels r is that just crazy
  3. Yes mate this is true This is why we should pick out a few of our favoret and most loved engines and store them away, so that in years to come (if we not to old) when all bikes look the same we can then create a mad crazy looking bike of our own
  4. Yea, its a just a copy of the Varadero Have Yam lost there sence of design. Tis a bit dissapointing !
  5. Failte Steveocee to the YOC Back to bikeing eeeeh ! "Once" in the blood, tis in the blood forever !!! WR125x would be a good bike both on and off road. WR125r is more of a on road bike but ok in the dirt DT125r still the best lil bike going. Tough as nails! Sounds like your after a trial style, so stick to your gut instint and you wont be disapointed -- specialy if you plan to mess about at the weekend.

  9. You prob need to measure the old ones and then just buy any ones that suits Here is an example of what you are looking for. I.D = internal diameter O.D = outer diameter W = with Wheel_Bearing_rear_left_hand_I.D_20mm_x_O.D_42mm_x_W_12mm Wheel_Bearing_rear_right_hand_I.D_20mm_x_O.D_42mm_x_W_12mm Hope this helps !
  10. Once you start to smell fuel, this is your engine flooding. You need to stop trying to start it and let it rest for a while. Every bike usualy has a nack to starting it and you need to just find out yours. Maby your bike doesnt need choke to start it. Try with choke frst, then if no go after a few spins turn choke off and try again. Dont use any throttle when trying to start. Which-ever way it starts the best (remember) this and stick to it every time your starting from cold ! Battery charged will prob get rid of all your probs. Good Luck m8
  11. A then, that is also good to know that the 88 - 96 dt didnt have all the crap built in them like the newer ones. Ta Vez

  15. Which pipe did you get chopped then ? The one Vez gave you or your own original ?
  16. Might also have a job getting your toe under the gear change But that said you could bring a bit of stick with two bolts on it to push down and pull up on the leaver and a bit of string on the top to tie it arround your wrist so that you dont loose it
  17. If you dont smell any fuel then you are not getting any from the carb to the piston. You could try putting the piston to its upermost postion, by turning the kicker slowly, when you feel the wait coming on it stop and this is it almost at the top. Now put a bit of fuel in the plug hole then plug and try, it should at least try to start from this an maby draw the fuel from the carb also. Repet this once or twice but dont keep on doing. Dont think its your reeds just yet anyway, unless you have been tampering with them. Have you done any other changes during the replacement of the top end. --- hope not! You need to find out why the feul is not coming to the piston if this doesnt get you going! ps. I am away this weekend so wont b able to help till monday,,,, but im sure Cynic or someone else will help you out if they reed your post!!

  19. It takes alot to get a newely rebuilt bike going again, im very surprised it started on 3rd kick. How long did it run for when it did start? Most of the time you just need to keep at it but do give it a rest if it smells of fluding as you could quickly give it a hydrolic lock (much damage) Apart from that, need more info on whats happening!
