  1. Have a look along the outside of the chain-links to see if there is a split-link. If there is pop it off and seperate the chain. If not, can ya get enough slack in the chain and if ya have room arround the front sproket can ya ease it over the top of it. If not, ill try help ya take sproket off.
  2. What do you want to do? Is it just the chain ya want off?
  3. Hey there Paulwhite, Sorry dont know much about your question,,,, Its something the same as having a different / lower squish on a stroker engine me thinks. Yea, i think it does come at a price,,,,,harder starting, bad idleing,,,,,,,thats why alot of supper bikes are pushed to get them started and going, although most of the time they take the starter off to save on weight, even formula 1 race cars have trouble starting if they stall. Maby you need the help of our member "Karen_Agusta" with her mind full of info. Send her a PM for the crack! Anyway best of luck with your trial-run
  4. Never herd of anyone that had it done, so have no experience of it at-all. Maby you could get the engine done in black BUT i would definately not do the barrels, for fear of overheating. Then you could clean up the barrels nice and shiney which Might look nice on top of a black engine, Just a thaught !
  5. If thats what the manual says then maby Yea, but if ya just take off the fairing and can see the plugs, can get at them, have room to come out then thats the way i would go.If there sunk down into the engine then maby you have to take off all that stuff. NGK and whatever number they are is always a safe bet. ps. me not formilliar with your bike
  6. Thats good to know. Maby he is being slightly to gentle
  7. Not 100% sure bout this and maby i should keep my mouth shut but Yes i thing you have to take the clutch out, even if you didnt there is probably a selector arm on the left side of the shaft.....if ya dont hold this in place while removing the shaft it will fall down....then ya will have to take the clutch out anyway to get it back in place. If it looks like ya cant get at the left side of the shaft to hold anything then me thinks is a clutch out job. dont hold me to this though........whats your manual say
  8. Thats a cracker. did ya go round da world to find it ya gona keep it long time

    Wotcha!

Failte KevinR; to the YOC Questions must be asked to get to the bottom of things.
  10. Can only be, burning it...... leaking it out somewhere.......or leaking into your rad. Had a similar prop myself so worth checking this Your front sproket seal might be leaking, you may only notice it when the bike is warmed up, this thin's down the oil and it leaks onto the sproket, you will not see drips on the ground anywhere because the chain whips it up and uses it or throws it off the back. Also to check the right leavel of oil in the gearbox, you need to warm up the bike, then let it cool down (2mins), then stand the bike up straight-----sometimes no oil is shown in the sight glass so you have to lean the bike to the right till oil starts to appear, then up straight again for a propper reading.
  11. Guys, you have all been very kind, for which I thank you all. It is good to know that I am not alone in the loss of our loved pets. Your comments have lifted a weight from me. I guess I will always miss my dog and remember him in so many ways. Thanks for the help and understanding. You see......Bikers are by far the most friendly people arround.
  12. This is my best Friend. Given to me when he was just 6weeks old, I carried him home and put him down at the corner of the house where he stayed for 2days shivering with fear. 16 years went by where he seldom left my side almost every day. Everyone that met him grew to like him as he was a real character. Sadly a few days ago he passed away. I miss him very much. I hope he rests easy and is gone to a nice place. If you are a dog lover then you will understand this post. Why did I post him on here.........I dont know, I guess sharing is careing. As this is a motorbike forum, ill try to give him some status. He had a one hearted, big chested, air and water-cooled engine He had 4 paw traction-control His top speed was 25mph His bhp was excelent stopping from top speed in just a few feet His throttle responce was excelent reaching top speed in seconds That was in his youth, in his older days he was reduced to walking pace. Sleep well my Friend.

  20. Dont give up so easy, she will run good again !!!
  21. This post sounds like it might be an electrical fault. Do the plug test now and check for spark. Check all the plus and minus wires on the bike. (battery and any you can find going to the frame.) This post makes me think you have a more serious prob.
  22. Failte: new rider from Land of the Scots, to the YOC
  23. After the bike dies, straight away take out the plug, put it back into its HT lead, earth it on the engine and see if you have any spark. Is There a kickstart on her?
