Yep, prone to rusting up front,,,, downpipes,,frame,,,, round the oil filter,,,take a good look and make sure its been looked after arround these areas. They all have a Clunky gearbox,,, 1st and 2nd,,,,,,so dont let that put you off, its in there nature. If milage is starting to get high, start engine, let it warm up,,, listen to engine at idle, then take her to 3000 rpm and hold it there, listen to engine down close with your ear,,,,,, it should be smooth as silk,,,both sides,,,,you can here the oil flowing through it. What ya dont want to here is any kind of chain rattle, or fluckuation of the revs. At idle the rev counterclock/ should stay steady not jumping,,,,carb balancing if its dancing up and down the revs,,,,not a reason not to buy. Put on centre stand,, check wheel bearings,,,,and head stock bearing. All in all,,,,it should look good everywhere,,,,if its not dont buy,,,,,there's lots of these bikes arround and a good one will come up. So if it looks rough, then it probably is. If it looks good, make sure its not just dickied up for the sale, have a good close look. All the usual check after this,,,, There a good bike and very underestimated. HTH Pat

Aye Mike, its no easy. A've been tinkering round every evening trying to mount the thing. My prob is,,, my camera is not ment for a bike. Its just a little mini hand held camera,, very mini. I built a little frame for the thing to sit into, it sits in under my screen above my MPH clock.It's held there by the bolts that hole the screen in place. It does not look pretty but it does the job apart from it shaking/vibrating. Anyway it wont be on there long and can be taken off/on by just two nuts. Here is the stuff i made the camera frame from,,,,, its strong but flexable enough to bend into any shape you want with pliers. Mabey you could use some of it to stop your cam looking up into the tree tops. And mini cam Hope you get yours sorted mate.

Thats not it NEV, its a white one down near the brake caliper, holds the brake pipe in place just before it goes onto the caliper.

Is that you on the Husqy Blakhat ? Id love ta do something like that on a real course,,, all i ever done was fook about in the bog's (peat) at home.

It is important to be quite quick,,,, that said you can balance carbs 1 and 2 then shut engine off,,,,, then restart and balance carbs 3 and 4,,,, shut engine off again and let it rest,,,,,, this method will not be accurate but it will get them closer to where they should be. Then you can start again and do the whole thing in one go + balance carbs left and right to eachother. If the idle speed of the bike is say 1150 then you should try and balance carbs at an idle speed of arround 1500, this will give you enough movement downwards without the bike stalling. When all is ballanced adjust idle back down to what it should be. Are you sure there is no screw to adjust tickover without using the cable adjuster ?? I think there should be one !

To the best of my knowlage No No Dont think there is a way to check the TCI. Its either dead or working ! If you have spark and getting fuel,,,,, then engine should fire up,,,even if it runs poorly. Dont know what the prob is with the bike. Mabey the timing has slipped !

emmm,,,,,, i dont know,, i was only off work one day and allready my brain was going soft Yes is the answer. Athough what i had to change was my gear changing oil seal,,,, anyway there much the same thing. Whip off your locking nut,, then sprocket,, then spacer (depending on model ) and there is the oil seal. If ya have a hard time getting it out, make up a little hook so you can stick it into seal and pull it out. Then on with the new seal after you oil it up a bit and make sure its sitting propperly,,,,, back on with the rest of the stuff then and job done. Only thing you must do is try and find out why the seal leaked in the first place,, Is the bearings behind the seal ok,, any movement in the shaft,, mabey it was just dirt that made it leak or perished with age. Good luck with it !!!

I woke up this morning to the rain and wind bashing my windows, so am at home pissing about, i kept my wee girl home from the babysitters,,,,,,, while looking at her playing on the floor i thaught to myself,,,your a happy wee girl,,,,and she is, she's always smiling and full of fun and develment (apart from when her teath are at her). She wakes in the morning with a few crys but when ya go in she has the bigest full on smile you can get. (i am like a bare in the morning for at lease half an hour). Anyway i was thinking to myself that all is not to bad and life was fairly good despite all the doom and gloom of resession and everyone walking arround with there heads hanging low. Life is what you make of it,,,,,,,, if you make it doom and gloom then that is what it will be. If you make it happy and fun then thats what it will be.
