Rex's Speed Shop is a small family run business that manufactures new replacement CDi units for older Japanese motorcycles. Yamaha started using CDi systems in the very early 70's. Now 40 years on, finding reliable replacements is becoming ever more difficult. It is our company mission to reproduce as many obsolete CDi units as possible to provide modern, direct fit replacements at realistic prices.



We currently offer a range of new replacement units for the Classic TZ racing bikes as well as early MX, Enduro and trials machines. To supplement this we also offer a generator reconditioning and up rating service meaning we have a total care package for the charging and ignition system - without the need of fitting a non-standard generator.

We have built our reputation on good quality products that we have designed and manufactured, also excellent customer service. However please note our workshops get extremely busy and at peak times we are not available to trouble shoot faults on your bike on the telephone, a clear concise e-mail describing the problem is often the best way to get advice (or bring the bike to us).
