steve as you have taken the K&Ns off dyno etc and put it back to stock have you put there correct jets in still sounds like a carb issue to me even though you have changed them, stock jets mains #107.5 pilots #30 incorrect jet needle postion?, and check your diaphrams? , last thing make sure your air filter is not clogged

Dan The tacho and temp gauge are on the same wiring circuit , I would chase it back to the conector plug as its probally just a fusty connector, pull it out and give it a clean up and a squirt of wd40 for good measure

Is the bike running? sounds like a blown fuse, or bad earth, if it is the fuse and it blows again you need to inspect the wiring in more detail, pull your connectors though and give a spray with some contact cleaner ,or wd40, a mate of mine couldnt get his main beamn and dip to work the other day pulled the connector and gave it a good spray hey presto all good
  11. have you changed the oil recently ?,is it the correct grade, but to be honest I think its time to change the clutch mate £40 on evil bay , but buy news springs as well £10 £14

I would agree on the not enough fuel getting through,as soon as you twist the throttle its dying, can you manually fill the carb bowl and see if it runs , or rigg something up without the tank?, pull your petrol tap and inspect

think you have the wrong ingnitor, not sure if you have the fox eye version, I just taken a piccy for you of mine if it a 89/90 like mine it should have an iggy box like this 3HE check your breather pipes on the carbs
  15. sneak into the bedroom and pinch your lass's hairdryer, gently warm the grip up and use a twisting movement , the heat will melt the glue

before you go down the ignitor route , it sounds to me that its over fueling , are you sure you have the correct jets in should be #30 pilots and #65 mains, starter jet #52.5 make sure they are genuine mikuni as well , they dont like these\cheap chinese copys , have you pulled the plugs what are they like ? I would take it back if you have paid someone to look at it

I think I need a clutch for my Fzr 600, its right on the end on the bars lever adjustment , the clutch doesnt slip and is still smooth but when I put into to first it sometimes stalls, and its seems to be getting worse , i took it out last week and stopped at the lights , neutral, I put into first and it stalled with a warm engine and it seeemd like an age before it started again but probally only seconds but I cant have it stalling everytime I go into to first side stand is up so it not the switch, is there anything else I need to check before I part with my cash and where is good place for a cheap clutch kit , if I am going to have a new clutch I want springs, lock nut, oil semi synthetic etc cheers al
  20. If it were me I would bin it, no matter what the repair was like, the tyres are the only point of contact on the road , thats my opinion !
  21. FZR AL replied to SirBieber's post in a topic in Classics
how old are your tyres, shocks , have you stripped and checked your forks ,when did your last replace the fork oil , but it could be the rubber engine mounts that are passed the sell by date ?
  22. FZR AL replied to mickb's post in a topic in The Bar
Mick, if it was running fine before the carb strip down , theres your answer , i think they need rebalancing if you have not done that yet , have you put new cables or disturb them form the original routing deffo carbs
