  1. I notice by your posts that the bike is a brand new 2010 . So if there is really anything wrong ? you should take it to the dealers , as for oil changes I shouldn't think you should be bothered as ,they will do it on first service, thats when its over 6 month or done 600 miles, which no doubt it says in the owners manual

  4. I think , anyone who rides a strange 1992 Sr 125 plodder on strange roads at night 100 miles in this weather deserves help . I would be hard pressed to risk it on an sr 125 on a afternoon july !
  5. Are you aware of the clutch & sidestand cut off switches ? Did you & bike get wet ? if so may just be that & need wd 40 spraying on all electrics if not the first thing I would check & renew is the plug ( pennies )clean & re'oil air filter ( read manual ) & try to give as mutch info as you can as it could be a number of things .also check the idle screw it may need turning in a bit again (manual) as you dont know how without it . ok..... R (also you could have a duff battery) .
  6. H i sleaze seems like you had a bad day so try to help if I can.. idle screw to start with .

  9. Hi & Welcome , I just got one a few weeks back 08 with 600 miles, mint & cheap , Its a good time to buy, but the weathers not been great obviously so have not ridden it mutch & I haven't decided yet if I like it or not ? I like to be hands on , doing any any maintenance & repairs etc & avoid garage bills , but this has fuel injection & other gadgets that i'm not used to, so I guess i'll have to do some homework & study up on it if I decide to keep for more than a few months & also not keen on the skinny wheels ( ive read some bad reports on them )after fat ones on my marauder, though it's easier to get in my shed . I like that it has a side / centre stand a kicker & a rack , anyway enjoy yours ....root

  12. Hi, Well the first thing I would do especially since it all seemed to have started after rain ,and that it seems to be drying out & improving slightly is , spray all electrics with wd40 & also have a look around for any loose connections
  13. Hi Yes it does share oil 10 w 40 motorbike oil dont use car engine oil ok !
  14. Hi.... you realy do need a manual skik You will have to lower the forks while on the frame to undo the threaded plugs at the top of the stansions,if your model has them ( some dont ) undo the top bolts & loosen yolk pinch bolts lower the legs a few inches , one at a time ,then retighten the lower pinch bolt to use as a vice while you just loosen the oil plug , remove the leg undo the plug empty the oil , the spring etc will also come out so remember exactly , how they are to go back then find out how much 10w fork oil you need ( manual . )clean out , examine the springs check lengh manual! .Some models just have a O ring at the top of stansion & these I think have to be completly dismantled to examine the springs but can be emptied & topped up ,also there are posts on here for doing these forks if you look .ok
  15. I would look at the HI LO switch .
  16. Do the vibrations lessen when you apply front brake when standing , Is it worse on the right grip & mirror , Could it be a calliper part loose ?
  17. root replied to Lion486's topic in The Bar

  18. Hi have you checked the headstock & front wheel bearings ? try pulling the clutch in when riding if the vibes stop it will probably be engine related , maybe just a loose mounting bolt at best ....R

  20. Hi phil....I dont know much about the bike, but the guys who will, like to know a bit about where you are coming from & a hello goes a long way, you will get a better response from the folk on here by saying a bit about yaself in your first post ,also as much info as posible on the problems your having , like all the things tried & haven't (etc can mean anything ?) It could be a number of things preventing the bike starting . But I think what you are on about is the automatic choke,
  21. Just bypass the ignition to get it running before laying out for new parts , it looks like either the bracket has been ripped out with ignition or there may be one on an original replacement when you get one ? I can't remember try breakers , plety of SRs about , The plastic cover has nothing to do with it just to get at the top fork bolts & bar bolts just fits loose.
  22. Hi, plenty of parts on ebay ,Its just a plastic cover that just clips on .
  23. I think I said "aye up" when I first signed in to YOC , Then followed up with a few dumb posts that i'd rather forget. & i have replied to a few that I bet some thought what the f**k is he on about . I'm only relearning myself & sometimes put my foot in it , then I think after , "I hope I haven't killed his bike" or cost him a fortune with a dumb answer especialy if they have said ,hello i'm not going to sue you if you fk up , But hope I may have helped one or two ? Anyone who has never made a mistake , has never tried anything new.
