  1. i feel your pain also, i am presently restoring a 73 tx500 and hate to spend that kind of money for a filter. i had the same question and trying to find a filter that cross over also
  2. I need to replace the rear tire on my 1973 tx500. The tire that is on it now is a Bridgestone Super Speed 4.00H-18. May I replace it with a 11090H-18, or 12090H-18 size tire, are they wider than the 4.00H-18. What is the best brand and size to use to replace it with? Thanks
  3. I removed the spokes in the front rim to replace them thinking it would not be to difficult. Stupid me I did not take pictures or mark the rim with the spoke locations, now I am puzzled how to relace the rim. I can't seem to figure out the pattern or were to start. I really could use a little help. Thanks
  4. I have a 73 tx 500 and the front forks are pitted bad. Will front fork from xs 650 or 750 fit. What forks may interchange on my motorcycle.

  6. Hello. I recieved a 1974 Yamaha DOHC 500 I think. On the side cover it has DOHC 500 eight valve, the engine code is 371-109226, what model do i have TX , XS , I don't know. I want to start restoring this bike or make a cafe racer so your help will be greatly appreciated
