    1981 Yamaha Exciter 185 HELP!!!

    Hey guys & gals, I just a free score on kijiji, a 1981 exciter 185, even came with sellers kit, and ownership, but no keys. so far bike is in good shape, lots of new parts. last night i used a paper clip to jump the ignition wires, bike turns over, but won't start, most likley the 2 year old gas, and dirty carb. i will fix both those, but i am wanting to take the tank off, so i can try to get some new fuel in the petcock, but can't seem to figure out how to remove the seat. sounds silly i know, but i don't want to damage anything, and wondered if there is a trick to it? also if anyone knows of a free online manual for this, that would be great. thanks, mike
