As has been said, I reckon it needs a good thrashing on a long run.....then change the oil and filter again to get rid of any shit. I don't know what the recommended oil is for your climate (probably 10w40), but whatever that is, go with it. Remember it's an old tech motor....it wants old tech oil changed regularly. Stick with a quality mineral oil like Mobil or similar.
