    On the frame and on the engine (????) I wish I could help him more...I really thought it was an AT2, '72, (Can you tell I have no clue), but in looking, looks yellow to be original color....

    We bought our son a older Yamaha as his first 'project'. The sellers had let us know it probably needed a new piston/rings - I was trying to find these for him, but I'm getting conflicting information out there on exactly what year/make this bike is....it says: AT1 - 171537. Is it indeed an AT1? Someone thought AT2. 1970?71? Any help to get this 12 year old started would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
